Countdown of 14 Bands that will rule 2014, #6 goes to New Politics!

Here we are at #6 for our countdown of 14 Bands that will rule 2014 and we are excited to announce the honor goes to New Politics!  I am sure you can’t imagine them having an even bigger year than 2013, but it is true. These guys are on a non stop Energizer Bunny  track to success and just have the Midas Touch. Sometimes, it is hard to think that only 4 years ago we met this amazing band in a small nightclub in San Francisco. Read one of my previous posts here.

I will say, that night, we KNEW that this opening band had the IT FACTOR! You might ask what is the IT FACTOR? Well., the IT Factor for us:

  • Non stop energy
  • Talented well-written fun music
  • Charismatic personalities
  • and the most important thing; the love and dedication to their fans. No matter how big or how small the crowd is, they perform at 150% at all times and wants everyone to enjoy the show just as much as they are!

So, it is no surprise to see New Politics rise to the top and will continue their momentum throughout 2014. Their new album A Bad Girl In Harlem is a stellar album filled with songs that are fun, upbeat, catchy and demand to be heard. Some of our top personal faves are “Harlem, Just Like Me, Goodbye Copenhagen, and Give me Hope”. Hell, their entire catalog of music is on our favorite’s list. You can pick up A Bad Girl in Harlem on Itunes here.

We had the chance to catch  New Politcs when they performed at the Uproar Festival at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA earlier this year. They once again put on a set that had everyone leave knowing their name and calling them their new favorite band. You can check out a tribute video that Rockin Ryan put together which includes footage and photos from their set:

We also had the chance to chat with David, Soren and Louis before their set and are pleased to bring that interview to you here:

New Politics have had an amazing year touring with 30 Seconds to Mars, Pink, Fall out Boy, Uproar Festival bands;Jane’s Addiction, Walking Papers, Alice in Chains, etc.  They are also set to play the Fox TV’s New Year’s Eve Show That will be the only show we are watching that night!  Then they will head out on their first US Headlining Tour which starts on January 14th. Check the tour dates on their website because you cannot miss their show. You can head over to their website for all the upcoming tour dates here.

How about another tribute video by Rockin Ryan to enjoy? This is for the high energy song, “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah” which is truly my Number 1 Go To Song.  Whether I am down, sad, bored or need to get energized and revived with life…. I play it and the whole world makes sense once again and all is right.

Make sure to visit their social media sites and stay up to date on the latest New Politics news. You don’t want to miss a thing.
