Saturday morning you found many of the overnight campers at this year’s Aftershock Festival just waking up from their slumber. That soon changed as they heard Raveneye kick off the festival with their high energy set. The Aftershock Festival started off with a bang promptly at 11:50 with Raveneye taking the Coors Light Stage. They are the perfect band to get the show off and running, as we were recently blown away by their performance opening for Slash in San Francisco at the Warfield Theater.
They did it again with a heaping dose of adrenaline as they were jumping around the stage, off amps, even doing the guitar tower piggy back! You didn’t need any coffee or Monster, their energy was contagious and you could soon feel your blood pumping and energy rising. The crowd was still arriving to the festival but that didn’t keep them from enjoying the infectious music of Raveneye and leaving quite an impression on those that were lucky enough to catch their set. It was the perfect opening for the festival as they gave everything they had in them to that crowd.
