Our Aftershock Spotlight Band is Eagles of Death Metal

Today our Aftershock Spotlight Band is the Eagles of Death Metal. I have heard people erroneously ask me to check out the new band Eagles of Death Metal. I then proceed to tell them about their history and how they formed over 15 years ago and of course, welcome them in to the EODM world and turn them on to all of their three albums. They always wish they knew them sooner but I am just glad that they know appreciate all the bad ass rockin tunes these guys have been delivering for years. They are set to release their fourth album, Zipper Down on October 2nd. Check out a teaser video for it:

Many might be familiar with Joshua from his work with Queens of the Stone Age but I remember when Joshua worked with another of my fave bands, Screaming Trees in the late 90’s. The name Eagles of Death Metal has also had many think they were a heavy dark death metal band but in fact their name came from what sound they thought a band would have somewhere between The Eagles and death metal. Well, I tell you it is one hell of a sound and I can’t wait for them to hit the stage this year at the Aftershock Festival. The energy they bring to the stage is infectious and their tracks will have the crowd on fire.
