Allow me to reintroduce you to your favorite band, AM Taxi. Yes they might have been away from the music scene for a bit, but they are back, better than ever and ready to pick up where they left off. I still remember the first time I ever heard AM Taxi was back in 2010 as they opened up for Spill Canvas at Slim’s. You can read all about that night here: AM TAXI at Slim’s.

Chicago based AM Taxi has one of the most refreshing sounds of old school punk blended with a twist of modern pop. I have been playing my You Don’t Stand a Chance CD almost weekly since the first time I got it several years ago. Fed Up, The Mistake, Dead Street and Charissa are on rotation for my daily playlist. Now we have new music by AM Taxi as they are set to release their new EP King of the Pond on May 24th. If you are in the Chicago area, make sure and get yourself to the Beat Kitchen for their EP release party!
They have released a video for their new song, Central Standard Time and it is awesome. This song has exactly everything I have loved about this band. They have their signature chorus style that will have everyone singing along, punk vibe guitar, energetic beat and those ahhhmaaazing gritty throaty vocals. Check out the song here:
