I have a special treat for you tonight. How about a fresh new dose of pop-punk rock from England. Sunken Monkey. They are currently working on the release of their second album, Party Scars on October 6th. I am really excited about this album after checking out their new single off it, This Town Is too Big (For The Both of Us) which is scheduled for release on August 18th on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, etc. Check out the music video for the single:
I love the guitar intro that takes you into the drums and then comes the edgy punk style vocals that truly will grab you. It has attitude, young energy, punk angst blended with old garage school rock. It is definitely catchy and addictive as I found myself playing it about half a dozen times after first listening to it, each time falling more and more in love with it. These guys really have a vibrant high energy style and I can’t wait to hear more from them.
