The Rare release amazing new single, All Dressed Up To Die

The Rare from Southern California are a hard rock that knows how to bring their music to life with heartfelt lyrics and passion through their sound. They have just released their new single, All Dressed Up To Die and it is an amazing new track. This song truly hit home for me. Check out a lyric video here and I will tell you more:

I love their style and really am looking forward to more new music. All Dressed Up To Die will be on their upcoming EP. It is has emotionally driven lyrics that just took me right back to August 2011 as I spent 15 days by father’s side. Watching someone you love suffer and know that their life is soon coming to an end, is one of the most painful experiences but it also for me was the most special. My father was my best friend and we were so close, during the day when my other siblings would come to visit, he never spoke a work. At nighttime, I would stay by his side with my mother at his other side. And he would talk all night long to me, telling stories of when he was young, confiding in me, praying, singing, everything! My siblings doubted he was speaking and when they visited again, he didn’t speak a word. I then knew it was me who he had chosen to be his as he called, “little confidant”.

Listening to this song, truly brought all those memories to life for me, but not in a sad way, more of in a comforting and understanding way. The Rare have done an amazing job at connecting the listener through their music. There is something magical when musicians can bring stories to life through their songs, a true sign of great music!
