Suicide Silence Will Continue….
UPDATE 10/4: SUICIDE SILENCE HAS RELEASED THE OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT OF EDDIE HERMIDA (ALL SHALL PERISH) AS THEIR NEW VOCALIST. HERE IS THE OFFICIAL POST AND PHOTO:
“Suicide Silence is pleased to announce the addition of Eddie Hermida to the family. Many of you may be familiar with Eddie through his work with All Shall Perish. For those of you unfamiliar, our relationship with Eddie goes way back to the Spreading Disease Tour, our first U.S. headlining run, in 2006. Mitch & Eddie remained long-time friends and we felt that if the band were to continue it should be with someone Mitch knew personally and respected as both a friend and an artist. We’ve chosen Eddie as our new frontman in association with this long-standing relationship & countless other attributes from his quality of character to his dynamic vocal abilities that make him the absolute best fit for this band.
We hope you all will embrace this decision with open arms understanding that this is what Mitch would have wanted. He would want his brothers to stick together & carry forward what he helped create. Every time we step on stage it will be in his honor & for his legacy. Suicide Silence will continue.”
Now we can all officially welcome Eddie to the Suicide Silence family and we look forward to seeing them out on tour soon!

Just a couple hours ago, Suicide Silence released a video titled, “New Vocalist – You Only Live Once Segment”. It has had overwhelming response and reactions from the fans as expected.
it has almost been one year since Suicide Silence lost their singer and friend, Mitch Lucker to a tragic motorcyle accident. You can read more about that here.
I congratulate the band on making probably the hardest decision that they have had to make in their band’s career. I am sure they have had to hear all the questions about what will happen to Suicide Silence? Will you get a new singer? Will you guys break up? Will you reform under a new name? Whatever decision they made, they would have been met with support and opposition. I applaud them at continuing on. These are a great group of young men who create incredible music together and should be able to continue on.

There has been no formal announcement of who the new vocalist is, even though, when you do listen to the video, you might guess Hernan “Eddie” Hermida from All Shall Perish but until confirmation is made, that will be considered strictly a rumor.
One thing that I ask of all is to show your support or to not say anything at all. I am sure that there will be haters among the supporters but I honestly hope the haters keep their opinions to themselves and let this band continue on. Mitch’s wife Jolie Lucker even posted the announcement on her Instagram asking for people to welcome him with opened arms, with the following caption:
