Today our Aftershock Spotlight Band is the Black Veil Brides. We are so excited to see that they will be performing at this year’s Aftershock Festival on October 24th. Black Veil Brides have been enjoying another highly successful year after winning Album of the Year at the APMAs. They recently released their Alive and Burning DVD/Blue Ray which has topped the charts at the #1 spot. In addition, earlier this year they celebrated their fifth anniversary of their debut full length album, We Stitch These Wounds. They continue to dominate with their straight up rock and roll and have made a name for themselves that will continue to bring them to legendary status. Today our Aftershock Spotlight Band is the Art of Dying. We are so excited to see Art of Dying on the lineup! We have been waiting for their return to Northern California, since the last time was at Uproar Festival several years back. They have been having quite a successful year as earlier this year they released their EP Rise Up that has garnered them high praise for their well written emotionally driven tracks. Their music truly brings a deep connection to the listener and you can’t help but be held captive by them. They have a fiercely dedicated fanbase that has continued to grow and it holds no boundaries of age, culture, genres, etc. They have successfully captured the attention due to making damn good music that appeals to many. Today our Aftershock Spotlight Band is the Eagles of Death Metal. I have heard people erroneously ask me to check out the new band Eagles of Death Metal. I then proceed to tell them about their history and how they formed over 15 years ago and of course, welcome them in to the EODM world and turn them on to all of their three albums. They always wish they knew them sooner but I am just glad that they know appreciate all the bad ass rockin tunes these guys have been delivering for years. They are set to release their fourth album, Zipper Down on October 2nd. Today our Aftershock Spotlight Band is Highly Suspect. Now I will have to tell you about when they first announced the lineup for this year’s Aftershock Festival, Highly Suspect had me jumping in excitement! I am so glad that they are on the bill and I can’t wait to see them. I first heard them months ago when I was switching channels on my XM radio and came across the last chorus of Lydia being played on Octane. I was blown away by the smooth yet powerful vocals that blared on my radio. I was glad to quickly glance at the name and caught the song title only. I am serious when I tell you, I rushed home to look up Lydia and came across the song by Highly Suspect. Today our Aftershock Spotlight Band is longtime favorites of mine, Shinedown. They blew us away when they performed at 2013 Aftershock Festival and with a new album on the horizon, prepare yourself to be blown away once again! Their new album, Threat To Survival promises to deliver another full dose of hard rock. They recently released their first single, Cut The Chord and it is filled with high voltage explosive energy. They have just announced that they will be headlining the Official Aftershock PreParty on Friday, October 23rd at Slipknot’s Scream Park. Aftershock Festival teams up with Slipknot’s Scream Park for Pre-Party with Hell or Highwater

We are excited to announce that Monster Energy Aftershock Festival has teamed up with Slipknot’s Scream Park for Official Pre-Party to feature headline performance by Hell or Highwater which has also been added to the lineup for Saturday! The official pre-party will be held on Friday, October 23rd at Slipknot’s Scream Park which is located at 4909 Auburn Blvd. in Sacramento, CA. Slipknot’s Corey Taylor and M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan have partnered with Sacramento based Scream Park California to produce an event that explores a whole new, intensely visceral world of horror, as only Slipknot can provide.
