Now we would like to bring you our interview with this rising band so you can get to know them better. * * * * * * * * * Music Junkie Press: Thank you so much for taking the time out to talk with us here at Music Junkie Press. We are loving the new single, Who Cares. Can youtell us more about the song? Jeff:  Thanks! Well, I came up with the guitar riff probably a couple of years ago or so, and kept it in my back pocket. I showed it to Mike one day at practice and we just started working on the structure of the song. It was actually one of the first songs that we wrote with Jon when he first joined in early 2014. Out of nowhere he just started singing, “The clocks are ticking in my mind, I wish that I could turn back time”. The song pretty much came together right away as soon as [Read More]

Harvard of the South is our Band of the Day

April 15, 2015

Today’s Band of the Day is a wonderful new band which formed from a side project of members of Blue October, Hurricane Bells and Longwave. We had the opportunity to catch them perform the other night opening for Blue October at Ace of Spades in Sacramento. It was amazing, to say the least. I was so glad that we got there early enough to see them blow away the crowd with their high energy set. It is great to see a band making great rock and roll with a passion for their music and it really shows when these guys perform live. They played the title track off their newly released EP, Miracle and it is a musical gem. This is one song that can truly become your lifeline of hope and captures your heart. Justin Furstenfeld delivers such honest emotion and vulnerability in the song yet, yet displays such a powerful strength. I strongly suggest you check them out when they come to play near your town. You can find their upcoming shows on their [Read More]
