Full Devil Jacket announces Kickstarter campaign for new album!

Two of my biggest passions, supporting the music industry and DAMN GOOD Rock! Well, with Full Devil Jacket‘s new Kickstarter I can bring my two passions together. Full Devil Jacket from Jackson, TN has has had their fair share of ups and downs, member changes, etc  over the past 15+ years but you wouldn’t have guessed it, if you listen to them today. They are focused, passionate and determined to release their first album in 12 years and you have a chance at helping to make that dream a reality. Full Metal Jacket is Josh Brown on Vocals, Brian Kirk and Paul Varnick on Guitars, Moose Douglass on Bass and Keith Foster on Drums.   They have just started their Kickstarter campaign to  help raise funds to record and release their 2nd album. Balance and Composure set to release Album and Fall Tour with Coheed and Cambria

Pennsylvania alternative rock band, Balance and Composure are set to release their new album on September 10th via No Sleep Records. I am truly excited about this one! Titled, “The Things We Think We’re Missing” is their second album and I have already heard one of the songs off it, Reflection and it has me eagerly counting the downs down until the full album release.  Balance and Composure have to be my new favorite indie-alternative band! I just heard Tiny Raindrop, another single from the new album and it brings back my love of the 90’s when alternative music captivated my attention and didn’t blur the lines with sub-genres.!  Their music reminds me of a mixture of Toad the Wet Sprocket, Blur and School of Fish. Music has been my passenger on my rollercoaster ride of my life, with my during my highs and there to comfort me during my lows. No matter what mood I was in, music was always there to share in the moment. So many times when someone mentions an artist or a band, I can go back and remember the first time I heard them or how I was introduced to their music. BrainStorm (Prata Vetra) from Latvia is our Tuesdays Travel band to check out!

BrainStorm I am sure you thought it was getting late and I was not going to give you my Tusdays Travel band to check out…. Well I might be late due to recuperating from the car accident over the weekend but I didn’t want you to miss this band!! Straight from Jelgava, Latvia is a fun alternative rock band, BrainStorm (Latvian: Prāta Vētra)   that you have to take a listen to. Definitely not a new band. This band is a strong group of friends who had a dream to play music and in 1989 set out to conquer the hearts of music lovers. Their music which has sounds reminiscent of Parlotones, ColdPlay, even U2,  but yet they have something so new and fresh to them that I just can’t put my finger on.  They have catchy melody fused with passionate vocals and an energetic sound that becomes infectious. Peter London new CD “America” helps Pets in Need

Our very own San Francisco favorite singer/songrwriter Peter London has a new CD coming out that I wanted to tell you more about.  Peter is an avid animal lover and is using his gift of music to raise awareness and funds for a refuge animal center.  He has such a great heart and I look for all of us to join in and help support the no-kill animal shelters.  First I want you to check out an acoustic version of one of my all time Peter London favorites: Run Away. Moovalya announces Summer Exposure Tour

Melodic punk rock band, Moovalya from Phoenix, Arizona announces their Summer Exposure Tour set to start August 17th. Moovalya has been delivering solid punk rock music on the Phoenix scene since 2009. This three piece band shows you how much they love to perform as they played as many shows as they could. With that, they brought their energy to the stage and leave everyone wanting to see them again and again. Moovalya has Benjamin Jones  on Guitar/Vocals, Sean Stroud on Bass/Vocals and Mitch Hosier on Drums. Their sound is a blend of alternative, punk, and rock and there is no denying that their sound is contagious. Some Fear None, A must see band from Sacramento!

Sacramento, CA rockers, Some Fear None have a new CD out that you have to get your hands onto and your ears listening! I first saw this incredible rock band over a  years ago as they opened up for Burn Halo and Smile Empty Soul. We were blown away by the energy these rockers bring to the stage. You have powerful vocals by Nathan Giguiere, intense guitar work by Chuck Carrasco, slamming bass by Gina Salatino and pounding drums by Jason Weisker. You put these four together and you are completely captivated by their unique rock sound that blends everything from metal to alternative, to grunge and more.
