SPOTLIGHT BAND: Sundara Karma head into SF on the AltNation Advanced Placement Tour – April 24th

    For our Spotlight Band, we feature the UK rising band Sundara Karma. When we first heard them, we were fully captivated by their magnetic alt-rock sound. We were hooked from the first listen and still can’t get enough of them. They have continued to get increased airplay and now they are definitely no secret. Everyone is talking about this band! Catch Indie singer/songwriter Alex DiLeo on the High School Nation tour supporting Plain White T’s

SPOTLIGHT BAND: Italian alt-rockers Soldiers of a Wrong War and their new single, Yeah!

We are bringing the spotlight onto a great alternative rock band from Italy. Allow me to introduce you to Soldiers of a Wrong War. The band has released their new single, Yeah! which is off their second studio album, Countdowns. The new album is set to release April 18th and is now available for pre-orders viaiTunes. The track brings out your love for nostalgic new wave circa early The Cure or New Order. It is a great new song that features catchy modern synths, infectious energy and a comforting vibe. Indie/electronic band Doombird stream new album

Indie/electronic band Doombird from Sacramento are streaming their new album Past Lives now on Soundcloud. The psychedelic synth-pop offering will be released via Gold Standard Records (owned by Artery Recordings) on 12/30 and includes tracks that were recently featured in the TV shows Blood & Oil (ABC), Stitchers (Freeform), How to Get Away with Murder (ABC), as well as the indie film I Live for You. “The album was created within a little over a year,” says vocalist Kris Anaya. “The theme we tried to capture was more of a dark dance electronic record with a haunting voice. The lyrical content within the record focuses mainly on my struggles with anxiety. Even while I was recording the record I was suffering with it. Interview with Finn Bell of the 90’s grunge-infused alt rockers Love Ghost!

We recently featured a new favorite band of ours, the 90’s grunge-infused alt/rockers Love Ghost. The Los Angeles band was formed 15-year-old frontman Finn Bell and the band features teenagers who are well beyond their years with their music. They bring out our love of 90’s grunge but blended with alt rock and a modern sound. Finn who is the lead vocalist and lyricist highlights his songwriting by taking you on an emotional journey. He describes his process as a continuous stream of consciousness, drawn from his emotional response.
