Today our Bottle Rock Napa Featured Band is Crazy Famous. For this rainy day, I wanted to feature a band that is sure to lift your spirits with their soulful rock n roll. Crazy Famous is based out of Healdsburg, California and features three guys who create a big sound. Their music brings back that vintage classic rock feel blended with everything from soul, indie, blues, and so much more. They are music that just feels right. Today our Bottle Rock Napa Featured Band is Irontom. These five guys from Los Angeles are bringing to life a fresh new sound in rock and roll. Irontom is full of energy and have an alternative rock sound that will have you enjoying their catchy melodies and energetic sound. You can feel the influences in their music that ranges from classic rock, punk, alternative and everything in between. They remind me of a sibling of Artic Monkeys or Cage The Elephant. Today our Bottle Rock Napa Featured Band is Major Powers & The Lo-Fi Symphony. Allow me to introduce you to an amazing new band that I just discovered. I was in the midst of our Bottle Rock Napa features and one of the bands I was to check out was Major Powers & The Lo-Fi Symphony. That was several hours ago and I still haven’t been able to get the smile off my face. These three guys have created a sound they call “Adventure Rock”, I call it DAMN FINE MUSIC! Fun rockin music that is purely good for the soul. They have such a playful sense in their lyrics and melodies that you can’t help but enjoy them. I can only imagine how they would be LIVE! Breakaway Patriot is our Bottle Rock Napa 2014 Featured Band of the Day

Today our Bottle Rock Napa Featured Band is Breakaway Patriot from San Francisco. Breakaway Patriot has an Alternative Rock/Pop Rock feel to them but don’t let me categorize them because they have music that will span the genre boundaries. Emotionally driven lyrics, catchy hooks and melodic choruses is exactly what they deliver. Once you take a first listen, you will be hooked. Their song Jessika Raine is fantastic and has an amazing intro that I love. It has such a bluesy rock feel, spirited beat and along with the passionate vocals, definitely a hit. Breakaway Patriot gained a lot of notoriety when their song, Flying on the Water was selected as the official theme song for the 2013 America’s Cup in San Francisco. The Sorry Lot is our Bottle Rock Napa 2014 Featured Band of the Day

Today our Bottle Rock Napa Featured Band is The Sorry Lot. You can’t have a successful festival in Napa without some fun Irish drinking music, can you? Definitely not! So we are glad to see that The Sorry Lot will be “performing renditions of traditional drinking songs, as well as a few modern ballads and original tunes, while keeping the music true to it’s roots in the pubs and bars of Ireland.” Now this sounds like a lot of rowdy fun that I am going to enjoy! You are treated to a variety of instruments form banjos, mandolin, fiddle, accordion, guitars and so much more. It is a fusion of musical delight in true Irish fashion. Today our Bottle Rock Napa Featured Arist is Roem Baur. For today, we are pleased to treat you to an amazing singer/songwriter who has a voice that will have you in awe! Roem is an operatic trained singer who brings to life his songs, whether they are alternative, folk, blues, indie rock or soul. He magically wraps his own unique voice around his songs and has the notes and lyrics dancing in the air. Roem performed several shows at this year’s SXSW and now we are looking forward to his performance at the VIP Lounge for this year’s Bottle Rock Napa 2014 Festival. Strange Talk from Australia captures the crowd in San Francisco

Strange Talk were quite busy performing nine shows at SXSW this year and then they set out to tour with Sounds. Last night Melbourne, Australian alternative pop band, Strange Talk performed in San Francisco at the Regency Ballroom. These guys have a great new refreshing sound. They blend a bit of the eighties pop with a touch of 90’s electro and then wrapped into their own edgy style. Strange Talk is set to release their self-produced debut album Cast Away on April 29th via Wind-Up Records. All songs on the album were mixed by Tony Hoffer (M83, Phoenix) with the exception of “Climbing Walls,” “Eskimo Boy” and “Is It Real?” which were mixed by Eliot James (Bloc Party, Two Door Cinema Club). One thing is for sure, Strange Talk truly capture their studio sound and bring it to life on the stage. The crowd loved them and they captured the hearts of San Francisco.
