Marmozets release new single and video for “Why Do You Hate Me?”

Just yesterday, we announced that the Marmozets were added to the 2014 Vans Warped Tour lineup. We are excited to catch them out on tour since they have been one of our MUST SEE LIST! This young band out of Britain have been busy making a name for themselves here in the States. We first heard of them when they were played on XM Sirius Octane channel last year and we had to look them up. They are known for their rockin alternative math elements in their songs. They are intense and delivering an exciting new sound that you will have to hear. Our featured Bottle Rock Napa Band of the Day is an all time fave of mine: Gin Blossoms

Today our Bottle Rock Napa Featured Band is Gin Blossoms. Gin Blossoms has been one of my all time favorite bands and always reminds me of summertime. I probably think of summer since I remember having my favorite Gin Blossoms Dusted cassette playing on my long summer drives back and forth to LA. I must have worn out that Cassette that summer of 1990. I remember playing them long before my friends hopped on board in 1991/1992 as they re-recorded several of the songs after signing to A&M Records and instantly grew in popularity. Gin Blossoms’ songs are always catchy, fun and carefree. The perfect backdrop for any band. Their music has been described as alternative, melodic rock, pop, folk, and so much more. Today our Bottle Rock Napa Featured Band is Empires. From the first time I listened to Empires, I was taken back to the nightlife of the ’90s as I would go club hopping and enjoy grunge, alternative, and mod. It was a time for you to feel the music and literally have it take over you. Empires are an Indie Alternative band from Chicago that do just that. You can’t help but listen to them and be “in the moment”. Fantastic songwriting, blended with grunge vibes, alternative style, and stirring vocals make this band have the winning combination Empires was formed in 2008 and have successfully two full-length albums, two EPs, and one 7″ single. Peter London delivers ‘The Feel Good’ album of 2014 with America

Our very own San Francisco favorite singer/songrwriter Peter London has recently released his new CD America . Peter is an avid animal lover and has used his gift of music to raise awareness and funds for a refuge animal center through Pets in Need. The end result is that Peter has not only helped a great cause but has succeeded in creating what could be the ‘feel good’ album of the year. The album takes you on a primarily acoustic musical journey that brings you a variety of songs ranging from raw emotional tunes, sweet folk songs, modern rock to alternative rock tracks. It might have been 4 years since the debut release of the successful album, “How To Be a Child and Win the War”, Electric Litany proves with their new album, they are ready to shine once again. We had the opportunity to catch New Years Day last week at the Ace of Spades in Sacramento, CA. It was a night filled with a variety of bands from TrackFighter, Eve to Adam, Escape the Fate and New Years Day.
