Only days after their kick ass set at BottleRock, Foo Fighters release new single and video for “Run”

June 1, 2017

Foo Fighters delivered a killer set at BottleRock 2017 this past weekend. The crowd had camped out early on the grass all day long, to get a prime spot for the final band on the JaM Cellars Stage.  It was great for us to finally watch them perform since the last time we had quite an experience at Salesforce Dreamfest in 2015. Our photographer suffered several injuries and a busted camera after what was definitely a Corporate Riot!  But fast forward to Sunday night and the excellent security and planning of BottleRock, there were no signs of any injuries or crowd control issues. The wowed the crowd and even hinted that they might have a full album already recorded. Check out the photos from their set: We are anxiously waiting for a new album and today we were treated to a new single and video for their track, Run. The video was directed by Dave Grohl and has the band disguised as old men. The track is a bad ass song that really brings [Read More]

Interview with Justin of Blue October ahead of their stellar performance at The Fillmore in San Francisco

May 20, 2017

Earlier this week we headed to the legendary Fillmore as Blue October brought the Heart Go Bang Tour to San Francisco. We have impatiently waited for this date to arrive. See, Blue October was not just another band for us to cover, they are a band that had provided the playlist to my life’s ups and downs for the past 20 years. Most recently in March, during my Mother’s hospice care at home, she would lay next to me and listen to Blue October, nearly silent for days, yet show would respond and tell me she liked the songs. Her favorite during that time, The Feel Again, (Stay).  What a heavy song and yet, I truly clutched to those words… Stay… selfishly I wanted more time with her.  After she passed away, I could feel the dark depression setting in as it had with my Father 5 years earlier. But I turned to music and once again to Blue October. Their latest album, Home which shot up the charts to a No. 1 spot [Read More]

Michael Franti & Spearhead return to the BottleRock Napa 2017 Festival. This is one must see set as it is an experience that you will not soon forget. If you haven’t experienced a Michael Franti concert, then you haven’t truly lived. He brings out this bright ray of sunshine when he performs, drawing in each and every audience member as he awakens their every sense. His music feeds your soul with an abundance of love, good spirits and positive energy. You simply cannot escape the “goodness” and “beauty” that comes from the music. It is emotional, inspiring and truly amazing to be a part of, as you feel rejuvenated with each note. You are one in that crowd of many, yet you feel the audience joining together and become one strong force of change. New Politics release new song, One of Us and it is soon to be fan favorite!

March 10, 2017

New Politics have been up to something really good… They have just released their new track, One of Us and it will soon become one of your favorite tracks! The catchy tune lets you know you are never alone, you are one of us! Check it out here: I can remember the first time we saw New Politics band in 2010 at Slim’s in San Francisco. From the first few seconds of their set, we were instantly hooked. They drew us in with their high energy set and infectious music. Over the years, they have truly developed their own style and sound that holds no boundaries. It is inviting to all and truly gets you amped.  We featured them back in 2011 as one of our Top Ten Bands. Check that article out here. New Politics will be busy playing at SXSW and we hope they plan a tour with some California dates. We are getting withdrawals! Have you ever seen our interview with them when they played at Uproar Festival a few years back. If [Read More]
