Brian Dugan announces his departure from Candlelight Red

July 16, 2013

Earlier today, Brian Dugan, drummer for Candlelight Red announced his departure from Candlelight Red. He posted the following on Facebook today. “Well another tour down and in the books. Unfortunately it will be my last playing the drums for Candlelight Red. Due to a busy tour schedule, which is good for the band, and family obligations at home,I felt it to be the time to step aside. In this business it is difficult at best to find a balance between both. This band is off to great things and I would never want to hinder its progress. To all the friends and fans I have met….thank you! This has been one of the best experiences of my life and one for which I am truly blessed. It saddens me to leave but at this stage is an unfortunate necessity. I will always be a fan of this band which has taught me so much about music and myself. To them I say thank you and to all my friends I say the same. Who knows [Read More]

Hinder continues on as Austin Winkler leaves the tour to recover

July 3, 2013

Breaking News: Earlier this week Hinder had to cancel their Denver show due to illness and today a new report is in. It was reported on Hinder’s Facebook page a little while ago that Austin Winkler, the lead singer is temporary leaving the tour for personal reasons. Don’t worry if you have tickets for the upcoming shows because instead of cancelling, the show will go on with some surprises guests to help them out. I really commend the boys in the band to continue on and play the tour out. I have had so many recent experiences where there were last minute cancellations due to member line up changes, etc. So make sure to show them your support and get ready to party at these shows. Also let’s all please send Austin our thoughts and prayers for whatever he is dealing with and let him know we are all behind him!! We truly pray that it is nothing serious and that he will be back stronger and ready to ROCK! Here is the post: “Hey [Read More]

The Show Must Go On for Papa Roach

July 3, 2013

Vocal issues have plagued lead singer Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach for some time now. It was last year that he spoke about a node forming on his vocal chord and which eventually led him to  have surgery. He successfully recovered from that surgery and has gone on to kick ass at shows with his incredible voice. He truly is one of my favorite vocalists! Last week, due to vocal issues, Papa Roach had to cancel their show in Berlin. They did continue on to play on the next shows but we are still concerned for Jacoby and his voice. Today he posted a photo of himself with the caption : OXYGEN AND STEROIDS FOR SWOLLEN VOCAL CHORDS!!! THE SHOW MUST GO ON!!! He mentioned that this is not anything new and he does have to do this about twice a year. We hope that this will help and that he will get the rest he needs for his vocal chords. We need you healthy Jacoby and hope you feel better. We want to keep [Read More]

DJ Ashba of Guns n Roses explains why he is back to smoking cigarettes

July 2, 2013

The controversy over Electronic Cigarettes is heating up! For years now, many smokers have switched over to electronic cigarettes or e-cigs as they are called as to what they thought was a safer alternative.  I have had my doubts about that but recently received some confirmation. One of my absolute favorite artists, DJ Ashba, lead guitarist for Guns n Roses, recently explained how E-cigs almost cost him his light. He was trying to quit smoking and chose to switch e-cigs which are supposed to give smokers their nicotine fix without the cancer-causing side effects as tobacco. So they don’t have tobacco but did you know that they  may have antifreeze or other dangerous chemicals in them, depending on where you buy them??   That is exactly what DJ Ashba explained when he posted a photo on his Instagram of him smoking. One follower asked about him smoking again, since they thought he quit. He replied with the following statement: “I did quit  for 9 months. However, I was smoking fake cigarettes that I bought in [Read More]

Lemmy Kilmister, Father of Metal just needs a little more rest

July 2, 2013

Just yesterday we heard about Motorhead having to cancel not just another show but the entire European tour dates due to Lemmy Kilmister’s health.  There was quite a flurry of concern as  many news sites were reporting, Lemmy’s “failing health”,  “Lemmy not looking too good” and other serious concerns. It led to all of us concerned about the future of our Father of Metal!! Earlier this year Lemmy had a defibrilator  chest implant installed to treat his irregular heartbeat and assist in regulating him.  He also most recently suffered from an unspecified hematoma, which if Lemmy is on any type blood thinners could lead to a more serious problem. Today Lemmy released his own post about the cancellation on his Facebook page. Here is that post: “Regretfully, Motörhead announces it has had to cancel its remaining six summer festival appearances. The band hate to let their fans down by missing any shows, but they expect to be back in full force this Fall. As you may have heard, earlier this Spring Lemmy had some medical maintenance for [Read More]

Brent Ashley returns to The Dreaming

June 28, 2013

Recently Los Angeles based rockers, The Dreaming announced that their bassist, Martin Kelly was leaving to pursue his career as a tattoo artist and to tour with his original band Living Dead Lights. Martin is an exceptional artist and I think he has a great career ahead of him with anything he does and we wish him well.   Shortly after, The Dreaming announced the return of Brent Ashley. Brent who has been successful with his custom line clothing line, Arrogant Armor will return on bass.  Brent posted the news on Facebook in a very funny post: We also got an update from Christopher as to what The Dreaming is working on and he had this to say, “I’m in the midst of recording the new album. We are putting together a Kickstarter campaign to raise the funds to do the album completely on our own without a label. Hopefully it will be done by the fall tour. It’s awesome to have Brent back. He was always the spark that kept the band alive and he [Read More]
