Scott Underwood announces departure from Train

June 6, 2014

Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson The above quote has always been my favorite and has applied to myself in life where I could have chosen to continue down the same path, but gained the courage to head into the unknown and make my own path. The amazing longtime drummer, Scott Underwood, of TRAIN has announced his departure to pursue other areas of music to include writing, collaborating, producing and so much more.  Here is the post on the TRAIN Facebook page: Hey everyone – I am overwhelmed with the amount of love and support from so many people over these past weeks. Thank you so much! We have always said it, and you prove it once again – you are the best fans any band could wish for!  I’ve been in this band for twenty years. I have had the most amazing time, and a life that is incredible. Pat and Jimmy are my brothers and I’ll [Read More]

May 29, 2014

We just received word through a post on Bret Michael’s Facebook Page that he suffered a medical emergency tonight in Manchester during his set. Here is the post:   Breaking News: Message From Pete Evick Regarding Bret Michaels’ Medical Emergency This is a message I never imagined I’d have to post. Tonight in Manchester, NH 3 songs into the set Bret had me sing a song as he rushed off stage. In the 9 years I’ve stood next to him, I’ve never seen a look like the one on his face as if I was a complete stranger. One of the crew returned instantly to notify me that Bret’s blood sugar was extremely low. He returned to the stage only to announce that he could not continue. As you all know he is a health fanatic and fiercely monitors his blood sugar, he basically had to be dragged off the stage in his sickest of conditions. When I rushed to the bus he could barley speak, but begged me to apologize to the fans and [Read More]

May 13, 2014

We are all saddened to hear of the loss of the great H.R. Giger. Dark metal band, Triptykon mourn the loss of H. R. Giger. in their following post. Truly sums it up perfectly. * * * * * * * * * H.R. Giger  February 5, 1940 – May 12, 2014 Rest in Peace   “I fight the impending lure of belated sleep For fear of waking up and you are gone”   Triptykon, My Pain, 2010   For the first time in 74 years, last night was a night not illuminated by the indescribable light that was H.R. Giger.   H.R. Giger became our mentor, against all odds, when we, somewhat audaciously, first established contact with him some 30 years ago. At a time when almost everybody ridiculed, ignored, or even obstructed the music the then almost completely unknown Swiss underground band Hellhammer was creating, Giger listened to us, talked to us, and gave us a chance. Not least at a time when he was at one of many peaks of his path.   A [Read More]
