August 27, 2013

For today’s Tuesdays Travels, I didn’t travel far to bring you some over the top Hard Rock/Glam Rock. From Montreal, Canada, I want to introduce you to RUSTED! If you thought that only 80’s bands brought you heavy guitar riffs, pounding drums, power vocals and catchy choruses, the complete rock look, you are mistaken. RUSTED has everything you want in bad ass rock and roll band and their music will have you quickly hooked. It is almost as if they were sent from a time machine from a set at the Whisky on the Sunset Strip to here today. However, they got here, I am DAMN glad they are here! Check out this video for my favorite song of theirs, Young, Wild & Free:   So who is RUSTED? You have Tony Rust on Vocals, Tommy D. Eagle on Lead Guitar, Mark Shark on Bass, D. Izzy on Drums, and Maniac on Rhythm/Lead Guitar. We had the opportunity to interview singer Tony Rust and we are pleased to bring that interview to you here: * * [Read More]

An Interview with Hugo Ferreira as we discuss Tantric new album “37 Channels”

August 27, 2013

Tantric, one of my all time favorite bands have just announced they are releasing their 5th studio album titled “37 Channels”   as they sign with Pavement Entertainment. This album will definitely have you exploring their diverse range of music that satisfies all your needs. You may wonder about the title but as frontman Hugo Ferreira explains, “What goes on in my brain constantly; 37 things or channels if you will, all at once vying for my attention”. Well Hugo they may all be vying for your attention but what you do with those 37 channels is pure magic! In addition to the many featured guests such as Shooter Jennings and members of Hinder, 3 Doors Down, Saving Abel and Uncle Kracker there is as special guest vocalist on “My Turn” that you would not believe or at least I can’t!  Well it is none other than the hot Leif Garrett who spent years on my wall of my room during my teen years! As Hugo is quoted on Leif’s website:  “It’s an absolute honor to have such a iconic [Read More]

The Relapse Symphony heading out on the Bad Blood Tour!

August 23, 2013

When you think of Washington, DC, the first thing that may come to your mind is politics but after hearing The Relapse Symphony all that will be changed. You will be forever changed by the true rock and roll that is The Relapse Symphony! They currently have their EP, Time’s Running Out that you can get now on Itunes and other music sites. This EP delivers solid drumming by Tyler Gloyd, hooky as hell guitar by JC Charles and Alex Foxx,  captivating vocals by Bret Von Dehl and slamming bass by Brandon Kile.  Every song takes you on a musical journey and “Make Your Move” has one of the catchiest chorus and “The Other Side of Town” is like a fusion of Green Day and Motley Crue. I love that they put all their influences on the table and just created a work of art that defines no boundaries. They are rock and roll and they are here to stay! Check out their video for their single, “Panic” which is one of my favorites [Read More]

August 23, 2013

Two of my biggest passions, supporting the music industry and DAMN GOOD Rock! Well, with Full Devil Jacket‘s new Kickstarter I can bring my two passions together. Full Devil Jacket from Jackson, TN has has had their fair share of ups and downs, member changes, etc  over the past 15+ years but you wouldn’t have guessed it, if you listen to them today. They are focused, passionate and determined to release their first album in 12 years and you have a chance at helping to make that dream a reality. Full Metal Jacket is Josh Brown on Vocals, Brian Kirk and Paul Varnick on Guitars, Moose Douglass on Bass and Keith Foster on Drums.   They have just started their Kickstarter campaign to  help raise funds to record and release their 2nd album. You can head over to Kickstarter and watch the video that explains more about this album.  What is important for me, is helping a band to fulfill their dreams of making this record without a big name label to back them. Who is backing Full Devil [Read More]
