BullyWest proves that nothing can stop their need to Rock!

September 11, 2014

BullyWest, an indie rock band from Oakland may have had to weather a few bumps in the road, but these determined rockers prove that nothing can stand in their way and their need to ROCK! With a sound that blends grunge/rock/alternative/blues/americana and classic rock into their own unique style, they will truly capture your attention. We had the chance to see BullyWest perform at The Phoenix Theater in Petaluma, last Saturday night and they blew us a way. I was bummed to have not heard of them before because it would have insured Music Junkie Press’ presence at their performances! The band has had to endure through the recent challenge of having thousands of dollars of their gear stolen at a recent show. This in no way, will stop them from forging ahead. Their fans and friends quickly stepped up with support and they held a benefit concert with Iron Heart, Six Gun Saints and other bands performing at Red Hat. They raised some money but still have an upward climb to replace their gear. [Read More]

Walk the Moon deliver an uplifting energetic set at SJSU on The Gospel Tour

August 30, 2014

We were excited to see Walk the Moon as the special guest on Panic! at the Disco The Gospel Tour concert at SJSU this past Thursday. I have been looking forward to catching them live and was so glad I did. This band which has been described as anything from indie to electro-visual, really can be summed up with the following; Music that inspires, invigorates, makes you want to move as you  love and live life in the most positive manner. These young four musicians have successfully captured inspiration through their music and transfers it so beautifully to the listener. Their indie rock style appeals not only to a young generation but to anyone who enjoys great music with empowering lyrical content. It was great to see the crowd at the San Jose State University filled with excitement as they took to the stage. They captivated the audience and as the music played, you could see waves of movement through the crowd. You just can’t keep still when you are watching them. I was watching [Read More]

Moet releases a video for their track, Perfect Night

August 25, 2014

It is always welcoming to see a young create their own unique sound. In today’s music scene, there seems to be a demand to fit into a specific genre or sub-genre checkbox. That is not the case with Moet. This alternative rock style band from the South Bay are createing their own style of music. Time and time again, I see musicians who play to fit a genre instead of play what they enjoy. I think musically you can hear it in the music. With Moet, you can hear the truth in their music and that they enjoy exactly what they are playing.  They have a sound that blends influences of funk, indie, alternative and rock. Moet recently released their music video for their song Perfect Night. You can check it out here: Make sure to visit their social media sites and stay up to date on their latest news. We will see if we can bring you an interview with Moet. ~ Marisol Information & Links: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/moetofficial Twitter: https://twitter.com/OdeToMoet Soundcloud: www.soundcloud.com/moet-4-1

August 20, 2014

Jesse Denaro has announced a US Fall Tour in support of his new album, Dear Love. The tour will also feature Animal Flag. Singer/Songwriter Jesse has done a wonderful job at creating an album full of emotionally driven lyrics, songs that connect the listener and engages them on his musical journey.  It is quite a superb journey to be a passenger on as you will experience the ups and downs of life, love and loss. I can only imagine how wonderful it will be to experience the music live. Jesse posted the following about the tour: Hey Guys! This fall I am embarking on my first ever full US tour!
