Interview with PALAYE ROYALE as they delivered a high energy set in San Francisco at Slim’s

November 3, 2015

Sunday night at Slim’s was the place to be as Ghost Town kicked off their Haunted Youth Tour in San Francisco. We will be bringing you full coverage of the entire night but for now, we wanted to bring you our interview with Palaye Royale.  We have been smitten with the music of Palaye Royale for a couple years now and it was great to finally see them perform live. They were incredible and you can’t help but feel a Rolling Stones vibe as they channel rock and roll at its finest and add their original style . They have successfully captured the attention of the youth of today with their infectious high energy rock n roll as well as the hearts of seasoned rockers who welcome their artistic style to old school rock. We had the opportunity to chat with drummer Emerson Barrett and vocalist Remington Leith after their set and are pleased to bring that interview to you here: One thing is for sure, Palaye Royale is definitely a band for you to [Read More]

Walk the Moon and their stellar performance at the sold out SF Masonic

October 27, 2015

I couldn’t have asked for a better way to start my week off than by catching Walk The Moon deliver an uplifting energetic set at SF Masonic. The first time I caught them perform was last year as the special guest on Panic! at the Disco The Gospel Tour concert at SJSU. I have been waiting for their return and this time their headlining show brought them back to San Francisco. The night kicked off with the infectious bubbly brat pop music of Holychild. They got the crowd moving in no time.  Check out a couple photos of their set by Rockin Ryan: After Holychild, the immensely talented Saint Motel took over and kept the energy flowing with a swirling dose of indie dream pop. They played songs off their new EP, especially my fave; Cold, Cold Man. Here are some photos:   The energy in the Masonic was nearly at its peak when Walk The Moon hit the stage. This band which has been described as anything from indie to electro-visual, really can be summed up [Read More]

Look Out Love released video for indie rock track, Never Know

September 9, 2015

Look Out Love which is the great work of Jordan Benker and he has captured our attention with his infectious indie rock tracks. He has recently released a new music video for Never Know which you can check out here: Earlier this year Look Out Love released his EP, It’s 11:11 Somewhere and has just released on September 1st, a brand new EP, Oh Boy, a collection of indie-rock classic styles tackling the effects that love has on one another and the ups and downs that it can bring in life. Benker had this to add:  “If there was a way to sum up what the future of Look Out Love holds, it would be the Oh Boy EP. These 4 songs all have a certain raw and real persona, and each track stands out with their own unique Look Out Love quirks. The range of emotions felt on the record spans a pretty large scale, and it’s only a plus that each song will make you want to dance.” You can pick up Oh Boy [Read More]

Checkout the new video from Raggy Monster for their captivating track, Crying Shame

August 27, 2015

Alternative indie rock band Raggy Monster from West Palm Beach have released a new video for their track, Crying Shame. The song is off their sophomore album, As the thorn lures the widow’s lip, it seeks no wisdom from the Wicker Flies, which was released in December 2014. The song brings out such emotion as you are captivated by  vocalist Rachel DuVall’s hypnotic vocals. “The song was inspired by singer/keyboardist Billy Schmidt’s uncle who had been nearly paralyzed from suffering multiple strokes and the emotional weight it held on Billy’s heart. Billy’s wife and bandmate,  Rachel DuVall put these emotions to lyrics, creating a tribute to the family.”  Billy Schmidt comments on the track, “This video and song are very personal to me, being inspired by my uncle John. As a kid we visited him a couple times a year and I remember seeing the expression on his face and not being able to tell if he was full of joy or sadness. I think it was a combination of the two. He loved children, and we [Read More]

Check out Vinyette’s new video for Just to Get Away

July 7, 2015

Vinyette is a New York City indie/grunge rock quartet that will bring out the care free youthfulness of just wanting to get away with their latest video. They recorded their song, Just To Get Away at New York City’s legendary Magic Shop (featured in Foo Fighters’ HBO series Sonic Highways) and worked with renowned producer Jimi Zhivago(Norah Jones, Rufus Wainright). Check out the video here: Their style is a fusion of alternative, rock, pop, grunge and much more. They hold no genre boundaries to their music which allows them the freedom to create with passion. Vinyette recorded another song, “Charlie” after quitting  their jobs a year ago to hit the road for a four month journey that took them from the California coast to the underground clubs of Europe (including shows with Marky Ramone and Andrew W.K.). It is another great track, check it out here: [soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/197500416″ params=”auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&visual=true” width=”100%” height=”450″ iframe=”true” /]   They will also be playing B.B.
