Free & Easy Festival at the Backstage Munich starts next week

We are counting down the days. The famous Free & Easy-festival at the Backstage Munich starts in a week! 18 days of live shows, open-air movies, and parties are upon us. Once again, the Backstage managed to get the finest acts on stage. 3Teeth live in Munich with Stake – photo gallery

When I saw that 3Teeth will make a stop in Munich on their tour through Europe, I instantly marked my calendar. To be honest, I’ve never seen them live before, but sometimes you have to follow your instincts. I saw some photos and checked out some videos on youtube and decided that this definitely has potential for a fun night. It turned out, that I was completely right. I couldn’t have said, how many people would show up since it was a Monday night and it’s always harder to fill places on workdays. So I was really surprised that the Club (one of the venues on the Backstage area) was pretty packed. But then, 3Teeth are not un unknown band. Motionless In White and Skold live in Munich at the Backstage Werk – SOLD OUT!

Motionless In White announced their European/UK tour a few months back. After several weeks, shows started selling out and in some places, the band switched to a bigger venue. That also happened in Munich. So they changed from the Backstage Halle to the Backstage Werk, a venue with about 1300 people capacity. Looking at the places MIW played in Munich before, esp. when they were touring as a headliner, it was a major jump. Motionless In White, like many other bands, started with their first show here in the Club, the smallest venue on the Backstage area. Combichrist, Soulfly and Rave The Requiem live in Munich at the Backstage August 7th, 2019

After an extensive tour through the US in April and May 2019 with over 40 dates, Combichrist went over the great pond to continue their ‘One Fire’ tour through Europe and the UK in June, July and August 2019. We were lucky to catch the band live in Munich on August 7th. It was the only double-headliner show the band did with Soulfly, well-known through it’s frontman Max Cavalera (ex-Sepultura). Opening act was a Swedish band called ‘Rave The Requiem’. While unknown to most of the people, they could easily win over the crowd. Their performance was very energetic with an amazing female vocalist Jenny Fagerstrandh. Her voice complements the bands vocalists’ and guitarists’ Filip Lönnqvist. Him also being the founder of the band. RTR released their latest record ‘FVNERAL’ in October 2018. Make sure to check them out live, if you get a chance. Society 1 release new video of Doors cover as they set to release Doors tribute album

Industrial rockers Society 1 from Los Angeles have just released a great video for their cover of Wild Child by the Doors. They did a fantastic job at the song and completely capture the true essence of the Doors. The video was edited and directed by Matt Zane of Lord Zane Productions). The track was produced & mixed by Alex Crescioni at Stygian Sound and was mastered by Mike Wells at Mike Wells Mastering.   Beauty in the Suffering have just released a really cool electro rock cover of the Outfield’s Your Love. They take the classic Outfield hit and modernize it with their electro rock style. The end result being a heavier electronic version for you to love just as much as the original.
