Knocked Loose release video & single Suffocate ft. Poppy

April 25, 2024

Knocked Loose have released a new video and single, Suffocate which features Poppy.  Grammy nominated pop-meets-metal trailblazer, Poppy, who reached out to frontman and vocalist Bryan Garris to propose a team-up. “I am a huge fan of Knocked Loose and honored to be on this one,” tells Poppy. The new single has them branching out and is absolutely a great track. It carries deep and dark guitar tones and blazing with pinch harmonics and delivers a killer riff throughout the track. Poppy takes it to a whole new level with her metal screams that grab a hold of you, then takes you on a melodic journey through the bridge and leading to the breakdown.  It is fierce! Check it out here: The collaboration inspired the band to venture into uncharted realms, which finds Garris and Poppy trading verses about, as Garris puts it, “someone stabbing you in the back.” “It was so fun because her voice allowed us to expand our palette and do some weird, off-the-wall things that we maybe wouldn’t do in another song,” guitarist Isaac Hale says of the track. “We felt [Read More]

Guster shares new song Elevator

April 25, 2024

Guster is gearing up for the release of their ninth studio album Ooh La L on May 17th. The release is the first LP in more than five years. Ooh La La marks a bold departure from its predecessor, 2019’s acclaimed Look Alive. This time, Guster carved out a lush and acclaimed expansive sound rich in acoustic guitars and graceful piano work. With additional production from Ron Aniello (Bruce Springsteen) and Rich Costey (Death Cab for Cutie, Of Monsters and Men), Ooh La La radiates an undeniable warmth, even as its songs delve into the more daunting aspects of modern life. “When I listen back to the album now it feels like there’s depth everywhere,” says drummer Brian Rosenworcel. “There’s not a moment where we strike a chord that isn’t meaningful to us. Nobody was going to accept a song that didn’t hit at a certain level, and it feels good to still have that passion more than 30 years into our career.” “We feel lucky that we’ve created a dynamic where there’s no real separation between us and our fans,” says [Read More]

The Mission are returning to San Francisco on May 9th at Great American Music Hall

April 18, 2024

We are so excited to share that post-punk rockers The Mission are returning to San Francisco as they head out on a West Coast  Spring Tour. They will be playing at Great American Music Hall on May 9th and is sure to be a show you won’t want to miss. The show will be the last one right before they play at Pasadena’s annual Cruel World Festival which brings together an amazing lineup of bands; Duran Duran, Simple Minds, Adam Ant, Blondie, Interpol, etc. Vocalist/Guitarist Wayne Hussey comments,  “It’s a very eclectic bill… a lot of bands playing that I’d like to see,” he says. “It’s a shame we don’t generally get festival lineups like this in Europe. They tend to be more genre-specific. Hence, we usually just play goth/rock festivals which can be frustrating as I really don’t see us as exclusively fitting into any particular genre.” You can head over HERE and pick up tickets for the San Francisco show!
