Get your calendars ready and save the date in May for you to catch (hed) P.E. and SOiL out on the Born To Ride 2 tour. The tour is set to start on May 1st at the HOME Bar in Arlington, IL and will wrap up at the end of May. This tour is the follow up to the first Born To Ride tour featuring the same bands. (Hed)P.E.’s forthcoming album “Evolution” is currently being mixed and is slated for a summer 2014 release on Pavement Entertainment. This is the follow up to 2010’s “Truth Rising”. Today our Bottle Rock Napa Featured Artist is James Otto. Today I wanted to feature country artist, James Otto. I love James’ vocals. As many of you know I don’t listen to country that often. I guess it can best be explained by the following meme: James has such an amazing voice, he can take you from flirty, seductive, spiritual, comforting, and fun just by the range of his tones. He currently has his third album out, Shake What God Gave Ya and it is a collection of songs that highlight his powerful vocals and brings to the forefront, his heart of soul. Tyson Leslie receives Lifetime Achievement Award at the Midwest Music Awards

Congratulations are in order for the amazingly talented Tyson Leslie. Last month we brought you our review of his first solo album, Train Wrecks, Havoc and Heartbreak. Well this past Friday, Tyson was bestowed with a Lifetime Achievement Award by Project Backstage as part of the 4th annual Midwest Music Awards ceremony. “What an absolute honor and evening of surreality!” exclaimed Leslie. “It’s been one incredible weekend being among so many outstanding musical peers all in one place. The awards show was unlike anything I’d ever performed, and I was proud, but greatly humbled as well to be a part of something so extraordinary!” Tyson started making a name for himself in the Midwest when he was just a teenager. Howie has one of the most phenomenal voices that truly speaks to you, whether he is there to cheer you up, inspire you, remind you of a special memory, or comfort you through hard times. There is something magical about his songs, they seem to be the perfect fit to whatever mood I am in. Pre-Teen Metal band, Unlocking The Truth takes over Coachella as the youngest band to appear at festival

Coachella Festival was treated to an amazing performance by the pre-teen metal band, Unlocking The Truth from Brooklyn, New York. At the young ages of twelve and thirteen these three kids are skilled musicians and have everyone taking notice of their exceptional talent. Unlocking The Truth were one of the inaugural performances on the main stage Saturday and their explosive live set generated a massive circle pit and left the crowd crying out for more. Of their set The Los Angeles Times declared, “Playing a hard distorted blend of metal, speed punk and alternative rock on the main stage, they were as well-practiced as units three times their age” while Buzz Bands LA avowed that the band “overpowered an ever-growing mass of moshing festival-goers with the heaviest metal in Indio this side of Motorhead…Malcolm Brickhouse, Jarad Dawkins and Alec Atkins play their instruments better than most bands on the bill…” I can only imagine what the future has in store for this young metal band that write and create their own lyrics and music. Deftones pay tribute to Chi Cheng on the one year anniversary of his death by releasing song, Smile

Deftones pay tribute to their late bassist, Chi Cheng on the one year anniversary of his death. Chi passed away on April 13th after a car accident in 2008 that left him in a coma for the past four and a half years. Today they released the song, Smile which was off their album Eros which they were finishing up work on at the time of Chi’s accident back on November 4th, 2008. The album was shelved and they then began work on their album Diamond Eyes with bassist Sergio Vega. Today our Bottle Rock Napa Featured Artist is Robert DeLong. Today I want to bring you something a little bit different than what I usually share with you. That is the great new music by Robert DeLong. Robert is a singer/songwriter that is truly a one man electronic band. When he performs live, he is a one-man band who uses MIDI interfaces, a full drum set, guitar, drum pads, keyboards, laptops and game controllers, looping his music live to fuse electronic dance beats with striking melodies and lyrics with emotional heart. What you are treated to is a eclectic and highly energetic performance that brings you anything from pop, dance, house, rock and roll and so much more.
