Foreigner delivers stellar set at Shoreline for The Historic Farewell Tour

August 25, 2023

Last night was not your typical Thursday night in the Bay Area and it is one that will remain strong in our memories. We were at the Shoreline Amphitheatre to see Foreigner – The Historic Farewell tour with Loverboy. The venue was quickly filling up as a couple high school choirs were battling out.  They got the crowd warmed up and the energy quickly elevated the second Loverboy took the stage. Loverboy kicked it off strong with Notorious and the crowd erupted in cheers, they followed it up with a personal favorite Lucky Ones. The hits kept on coming, one after another and the crowd was soaking it all in. You could feel the nostalgia in the air as many of us were reliving our high school years.  It was incredible to watch groups of friends come together to revisit a band that was the soundtrack of their youth and to witness Loverboy deliver the songs nearly exactly ss they sounded years ago! I was sitting near a couple of large groups who were dancing [Read More]

As we begin to bring you our set recaps from Outside Lands, we would like to start off with one of our favorites. Dan Ashley performed at the Panhandle stage on Saturday and we were glad we caught the set.  Dan brought his Americana Rock and Original Roll band to the festival and it was quite a fun time. Dan comments, “We had a terrific experience performing at Outside Lands this year. What a privilege to play such a major music festival, not just in San Francisco, but one of the biggest in the country”. You might recognize Dan, he is a longtime ABC7 evening news anchor here in the Bay Area.  Well, he definitely ROCKED the stage at Outside Lands. You couldn’t help but be held captive by his passion for his music, as he delivered songs that carried his emotion along with euphonious vocals. Okey Dokey are more than alright, they are a must see band

July 25, 2023

Saturday night, we caught Okey Dokey open up for Zella Day out on the Hot Summer Nights Tour and it was awesome.  I love it when I get to catch a band I am not familiar with and they blow us away. That is exactly what Okey Dokey did for us.  Their music is a addictive blend of 60’s groove pop and indie rock.  Imagine a modern day indie version of the Doors and frontman Aaron Martin channels a Jim Morrison vibe that will have you hooked right from the start. Check out some photos from their set by our Rockin Ryan:   They will continue out on tour with Zella Day and you can check out their song Spiderwebs which features Zella Day. Hot Milk has just released new single/video Bloodstream

July 12, 2023

UK pop rockers Hot Milk have just released a new single along with a video for their track Bloodstream. This is the third single off the upcoming debut album release. Lead singer Han Mee explains the song came to them, instead of being chased down through long hours in a studio and was written “in its entirety in the haunted early hours in Los Angeles. We started it in the early hours just as it was home time… immediately we knew that this song was something different for us yet had come from nowhere. One of them rare moments where the song jumped from the ether and wanted, nay needed to be written”. That feeling of necessity, a song almost undeniable and inescapable, mirrors the feelings of unhealthy adoration, themes of chasing short-term thrills and how those situations can lead to self-loathing, and as Han puts it “unhealthy adoration comes in many forms, the short term thrill for the post-high collapse can create an abusive relationship. You think it’s love, you think you’re in control, you think you can say [Read More]
