Interview with Justin Emord of Love and a .38 at NAMM 2014

January 31, 2014

Another one of our favorite bands that we found at NAMM is Love and a .38. They are truly one of the hardest working bands in Los Angeles and have a tight family (fan) base that extends across the country!  We ran into bassist, Justin Emord at the Hipshot Products booth at NAMM 2014. We were able to grab for a quick interview as he had his bass, Aurora on display. Check out our interview here:   We are excited to head down for Love and a .38’s upcoming show at the Troubadour in Hollywood on February 15th.  Now I think I am going to have to crank up some Love and  a .38 and I know the perfect song…. “Just a Woman”. That song is so bad ass and has such a bluesy classic rock sound to it and I just fell in love with it instantly. It has a great chorus that makes me want to cruise out on the open highway with no worries and my Love and a .38 turned up loud. If you [Read More]

NAMM HIGHLIGHT: Xander and The Peace Pirates perform at the Gibson Booth.

January 28, 2014

Earlier this month, we told you about an incredible band, Xander and the Peace Pirates and how they were the TOP HIGHLIGHT OF THE CES 2014 Convention. Well, they did it again at NAMM. During a week where you literally have hundreds and hundreds of artists performing at various booths, it can be quite challenging to figure out who you are going to see and spend your day. It wasn’t hard for us, since I knew I wanted to see the Xander Brothers live.  There was no question about that. We headed over to the intimate stage setting in the Gibson Booth and got there just in time as Xander and the Peace Pirates began. It was awesome! There is just something about this band that you can literally get goose bumps from listening to them. Their music emits raw emotion and you can’t help but feel the passion from their music. These brothers have a great bluesy rock sound that just penetrates your soul. With Xander and The Peace Pirates you are treated to two [Read More]
