Memory In Plant take you into depths within experimental and electronic psychedelic rock

August 3, 2014

Memory In Plant is a band from Tel Aviv, Israel and they are gearing up for the release of their new EP An Epic Triumph. Their music ranges from eclectic psychedelic rock into alternative waves of experimental and progressive sounds. They have created depth through their song within layers of musical fusion. Imagine if you will, what your mind sounds like as it is cycling through your thoughts, racing around from one subject to the next, still with one common thread trying to hold it together. That is what their music recreates for me and it is quite unique and wildly inviting. Memory In Plant is Yehiel Hamou, Chen Firsel and Imri Cohen. Take a listen to their new song, Shame On Me here: Stay tuned for their new EP which is set for a release this month. Make sure to visit their social media sites and stay up to date on their latest news. ~ Marisol Information & Links: Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/MemoryInPlant Twitter: https://twitter.com/MemoryInPlant Bandcamp: http://memoryinplant.bandcamp.com/track/shame-on-me

Time to put the spotlight on Grey for some new hard rock!

August 2, 2014

The other day I heard someone at a concert talking about how they couldn’t find any new music that is good. I instantly remembered a quote from Leon of Ragdoll during one of our interviews as he said, “If you can’t find new music, then you’re the problem”. That is so true because with all the different ways to listen to music, there should never be a reason that you can’t find a new band to check out. Also listen to people when they recommend a band, actually take the time and check them out. If you don’t, you just might be missing what could be your new favorite band. Perfect example, earlier this week, I received a message from a music lover named Jenna on our Music Junkie Press Facebook page with a recommendation to check out a new band. I am grateful to the recommendation because you know what? I LOVE THEM!!! The band she told me about is Grey and they are an alternative rock/metal band that really deserve to be in the spotlight. They are set to release their self-titled album through We Are Triumphant on August 26th, 2014.  They are in the pop punk, power pop style yet their music cannot be defined by genre lines. Check out the music video for Get a Little by WAYLAND, perfect song for the weekend!

August 2, 2014

Wayland have been getting a lot of attention for their fun new party anthem song, Get a Little. The song starts right off with the sweetest Southern Rock style that just grabs a hold of you. The vocals are powerful and inviting as you find yourself singing along to the catchiest chorus. This is definitely my new Go To song for when those weekdays just seem to drag on and I’m counting the days to Friday night. This is all you need to lift your spirits and get yourself in that positive mindset. It truly is the perfect anthemic rock song to crank up loud with one fist in the air, the other holding a beer and ready to have some  “feel good fun times”. August 1, 2014

I have a special treat for you tonight. How about a fresh new dose of pop-punk rock from England. Sunken Monkey. They are currently working on the release of their second album, Party Scars on October 6th. I am really excited about this album after checking out their new single off it, This Town Is too Big (For The Both of Us) which is scheduled for release on August 18th on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, etc.  Check out the music video for the single: I love the guitar intro that takes you into the drums and then comes the edgy punk style vocals that truly will grab you. It has attitude, young energy, punk angst blended with old garage school rock. It is definitely catchy and addictive as I found myself playing it about half a dozen times after first listening to it, each time falling more and more in love with it.  These guys really have a vibrant high energy style and I can’t wait to hear more from them. Sunken Monkey is: Spindle – Guitar/Vocals [Read More]

August 1, 2014

Iconic guitarist, songrwriter Brian Setzer has released a video for his lead single,  Let’s Shake which will be available on his forthcoming album, Rockabilly Riot” All Original. The album is set for an August 12th release through Surfdog Records. Brian says about the song, “Yeah, ‘Let’s Shake,’ how come no one has thought of that title yet?  We’ve been making rock ‘n roll now for 60 years and no one has come up with ‘Let’s Shake?’  And I came up with it and I went ‘wow…Let’s Shake!’ You know, oh god, it’s just so simple it’s magic!  It’s got a really great guitar solo in it, just rock ‘n roll sounding…it’s not really ‘billy’ sounding, it’s more rock and roll… again, it’s the simplest songs that are the hardest to write.” Check out the video here: The high energetic song fueled with rockabilly attitude is quite infectious. I have always loved Brian’s style of music and he has once again proved that he belongs high on the charts for his unique style and charismatic music. Here [Read More]
