Zach Sobiech touched many lives, Rest in Peace

Zach Sobiech May 22, 2013 I just received the news that the talented musician and wonderful soul, Zach Sobiech that I interviewed last December has passed away on May 20th. We all knew that Zach had just a few months to live since we spoke with him back then but it just breaks my heart. His positive outlook on life and death, truly touched me and I believe every person that he was in contact with was also touched by his fighting spirit and his pure love for all. He will be truly missed but never forgotten. His advice and words will live on and we can all learn from this brave young man. People ask me all the time how do I find my new music. There are so many ways, I get submissions daily, facebook messages, twitter and so much more. Sometimes you just happen to be in the right spot at the right time and you find a treasure! Today I have to tell you about the treasure I found completely accidental. As you know we went to Revolver Golden Gods Awards and we had bestowed upon the great David Draiman (Device and Disturbed) and his wife the award of Best Dressed Couple. I was on Twitter and ran across a tweet (you can see it in the photo slideshow) from a band that sent David Draiman a message about their music. I went to watch it and was BLOWN AWAY. Station We have another great rock band from the Rocklahoma lineup to tell you about. They are Station, and even though they sound like they are right off the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, to my surprise they are from New York. You have Patrick Kearney on Vocals, Chris Lane on guitar, Mike Anderson on Bass and Brian Karl on Drums. I just got their CD “Wired” in the other day after returning from the craziness of Golden Gods Awards/That Metal Show, etc so I was glad to be back and looking forward to new music. First, when I opened the envelope, I pulled out the CD and really liked the Cover. It is simple but just screams ROCK. Secondly, I opened it up to see some pictures of the guys and shots of them at live shows. Interview with Delta Rose – Featured Band of Warped Tour

Last week when we were down in Los Angeles for the Golden Gods Awards we went to the Revolver Golden Gods Aftermath Party at The Viper Room. What was even better about this night was that, Delta Rose was going to be opening up for Heaven’s Basement. Delta Rose is one of our featured bands from the Warped Tour 2013 and we had a chance to interview them right out on the Sunset Strip. Truly a place where these guys belong. They bring out true old school rock and roll just like many of the bands that I have been featuring.
