The Hollywood Kills set to release video for I Don’t Walk Straight on July 18th

July 11, 2014

We are just a week away from the release of the music video by The Hollywood Kills for their bad ass track, I Don’t Walk Straight. The straight up rockin track is off of their MUST HAVE EP, Coming of Age which was released earlier this year. You can read our review of their EP here.  As I mentioned before, “The Hollywood Kills new EP, “Coming of Age” should be marketed as the instant mood elevator! Who needs antidepressants when you have an EP filled with 5 songs that will get you out of any funk you could ever be in.  I love music that makes you feel so alive and takes you to even a new found level of euphoric bliss.” The Hollywood Kills may be from Nashville, TN but they mean business with their rock n roll sound sprinkled with punk, pop and even Motown. The video which I had the chance to check out is awesome and really captures the fun nature of this band. The track I Don’t Walk Straight is [Read More]

July 11, 2014

Last this year, I told you about an awesome band, Wayland that will have you rockin out within seconds of hearing them! We saw them perform during NAMM 2013 at the Dean NAMM Jam and they rocked the show.  They have recently released their new single, Get a Little which is the perfect party time anthem for the weekend or any time you need to Get a Little! The song starts right off with the sweetest Southern Rock style that just grabs a hold of you. The vocals are powerful and inviting as you find yourself singing along to the catchiest chorus: Get a little drunk, get a little stoned Catch a good buzz to my favorite song…..  This is definitely my new Go To song for when those weekdays just seem to drag on and I’m counting the days to Friday night. This is all you need to lift your spirits and get yourself in that positive mindset. It truly is the perfect anthemic rock song to crank up loud with one fist in [Read More]

Longreef release new single/video for Battle Plan and help raise awareness of bullying

July 10, 2014

One of the hardest stories I had to write was back in October 2012 about a young teen, Amanda Todd who gave up her battle against bullying by committing suicide. It was devastating and quite an eye opener for myself and many others to hear how prevalent and widespread bullying is for today’s youth. I applaud all the organizations that worked to get the word out and raise awareness for the cause. Today I want to focus on how rockers Longreef are helping out with a great message of hope through their music. Longreef have recently released a new single along with a video for their song, Battle Plan. The new single “Battle Plan” is released in conjunction with the www.friendmovement.com to help raise awareness of the issue of bullying. First off, it is a great song in itself that is inspirational and uplifting and the vocals are truly captivating. Check out the video and also make sure to download the song here: Who is Longreef? Four Australians who came to the US and quickly began touring and [Read More]

Check out the video for Black Blizzard by Die So Fluid for new gothic rock

July 10, 2014

Los Angeles/London based gothic rock band, Die So Fluid are set to release a new album in the US later this year. To get you revved up for it, check out the music video for their song, Black Blizzard which will be on the forthcoming album. The video was directed by David Kenny and has a great dark cinematic style that grabs you. Check out the video here: Black Blizzard was inspired by the Dust Bowl tragedy of the 1930s. It’s referred to as a natural disaster but it was caused by man. Nature is wild and untamable, and my character in the video is the storm personified-bringing wrath after she has been abused and disrespected. – Grog (Die So Fluid) The song highlights the powerful vocals of Grog and is rich in tones and excellent use of the exotic and Middle Eastern sounds. I love it’s dramatic effect and I look forward to the new album. Make sure to visit their social media sites so you can stay up to date on their latest news. ~ [Read More]
