Catch the explosive rockers, Not In The Face this summer on their West Coast Tour

June 17, 2014

This summer if you are lucky to be on the West Coast you will have the chance to catch a great explosive rock band, Not In The Face who will be out on their summer tour. Not In The Face includes Jonathan Terrell on Guitars & Vocals, Wes Cargal on Drums, Michael Anthony Gibson on Lead Guitar and Ross Dubois on Bass & Vocals. Together these four have an energetic rock and roll style that is infectious and is very new. What started as a simple joke of them performing hyperactive covers of classic R&B, Doo-Wop and RocknRoll soon turned into many praising them for their creative new sound. They definitely bring a fresh new sound to the music scene with hints of nostalgia, a true winning combination. I really love it when a band follows their own path and creates something that is completely unexpected and unique. Then to be brave enough to continue down that path and play the music that they truly love to perform. These days with people telling you to fit into certain music [Read More]

New album by Deadmau5 “while(1<2)" is out today!

June 17, 2014

World acclaimed electronic music producer and musician deadmau5 has just released his double album titled while(1<2) on mau5trap/Astralwerks Records. It consists of 25 tracks and is available digitally. Stay tuned for physical and streaming release on June 24th.  What can fans expect with while(1<2)?  “It’s a good mix of sh*t I want to do versus sh*t people want to hear or what they would expect. It’s a good balance. It’s not like, ‘Oh, it’s such a departure. He’s doing smooth jazz,’” says deadmau5.  “It was when I was working on some live stuff, setlists for shows and stuff like that, and it just must have been a couple of tracks that sounded pretty good stitched together end to start and I thought, “Well, if I ever do an album or compile this into some kind of album this has got to be that part of the order for that.” And I just kind of took everything and played musical Tetris with it.”   Leading up to while(1<2)—a double-album collection of 25 tracks that together he truly feels is his first proper artist release–deadmau5 made [Read More]

June 17, 2014

I have a great band to tell you about for some energetic aggressive pop punk that will get you pumped up and ready to start your day off right. I am talking about Nine Volt Heart from the UK. Nine Volt Heart is Mikey Lord on vocals/guitar, Paul Norfolk on guitar, Ed Truby on bass and Alex Sheldon on drums. These four bring together a fresh new take on punk infused with some melodic pop rock styles.  The perfect combo to get you moving. Nine Volt Heart currently has their new album, The Miracle Kids out now. You can pick up the 12 track album on their bandcamp page here. You will love it since it features a variety of tracks from the amped up pop punk anthem of the title track, The Miracle Kids to the emotionally driven song of breathe? to the kick ass track of Teenage Fantasy and everything in between. They really remind me of another young pop punk band that I fell in love with many, many years ago; Material Issue. Check out a cool video [Read More]

Long time rockers, TESLA debut video for their new song, So Divine

June 17, 2014

One of my long time favorite rock band from Sacramento, TESLA released their new album, just in time for this summer. TESLA locked themselves away for weeks writing the new album and came up with fourteen solid tracks which will be SIMPLICITY. The album was recorded at their bassist Brian Wheat’s very own J Street Recorders. Legendary engineer Michael Wagener (Metallica, Skid Row, Motley Crue) was then tapped to put the final touches in place. The album was released last week via Tesla Electric Company Recording’s arrangement with Entertainment One Music and Distribution. It is so exciting to hear that new music is only a couple months away. TESLA has been one of my favorite rock bands since forming in 1981. I have probably enjoyed their shows about a couple dozens time over the years and each time, I leave with an even higher appreciation for them! TESLA is Frank Hannon, Brian Wheat, Jeff Keith, Troy Luccketta and Dave Rude.   TESLA has released the video for their new song, So Devine today and it is AWESOME!!! Check it out here: [Read More]

TeamMate lifts you up with their new single, Don’t Count Me Out

June 17, 2014

When faced with the many challenges and struggles in life, you always need a teammate to be there for you and become your personal cheerleading squad. Now there is an incredible indie pop duo who do just that with their music. TeamMate was formed out from the relationship break-up of drummer Dani Buncher and singer-keyboardist Scott Simons. Both of them were passionate about music and together have created inspiring songs that take you through their life journey. They have just released the song, Don’t Count Me Out on Rostrum Records, which I love! It is a great pick me up track that provides an uplifting message of hope. Dani explains, “Don’t Count Me Out is a song we’ve drawn from personal experiences but hope it has a universal theme. We’ve been playing it live for awhile and the response from the audiences really helped us know how to produce the song for the studio version.“  and Scott mentions, “We’re excited to still be in each other’s lives and working towards something together. We couldn’t have guessed after all this time this [Read More]
