Amanda Markley brings a depth of emotion to life with her new song, Cold (revisited)

April 27, 2016

Amanda Markley, the Seattle pop starlet has just released a beautiful touching song that brings out a depth of emotion. Her new song, Cold (revisited) is off her upcoming self-titled EP which is set for a May 6th release.  Amanda comments about the song, “When you go through heartbreak, there are lots of questions you have that get left unanswered, and this song really calls out to that. I wanted to revisit “Cold” because I connect so closely to the lyrics. Having gone through a tough breakup myself a few months back, I really know what it’s like to feel the emotions of this song. I wanted to record a version of “Cold” that would capture the raw emotion I was feeling and portray that to the listener.” Check out the song here: [soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/255080896″ params=”auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&visual=true” width=”100%” height=”450″ iframe=”true” /]   You can pre-order the new EP here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/amanda-markley-ep/id1101533117. The Karma Killers deliver a fierce punk infused rock set in San Francisco

April 12, 2016

One of our highlights of last year’s Vans Warped Tour was The Karma Killers. They were so awesome and truly dominated with their punk tinged rock and roll. They came to San Francisco this past weekend as they were closing out their tour with Arkells and the Dreamers. They played at the Social Hall in San Francisco which is underneath the Regency Ballroom. The band kicked off the night with their high energy punk infused rock set. You couldn’t help but to get on your feet and move to their rockin songs. They have such a charismatic stage presence that invites the crowd to raise up the energy and let go! Check out some photos from their set by our Rockin Ryan: Make sure to visit their social media sites and stay up to date on all of their latest news. Interview with electro-pop duo OHLAYINDIGO

March 14, 2016

We had the chance to chat with OHLAYINDO, the Scandinavian electro-pop duo who are performing at14 SXSW. They recently released a very uplifting new track, Golden Chains. Singer/songwriter Hanna Ponth shares, “‘Golden Chains’ is the kind of song we had wanted to write for a long time, but it was difficult to find the right words. It reflects on how a lot of us who come from privilege value material things ahead of what is really important. The song suggests we take our ‘Golden Chains’ and tear them off – encouraging us all to step back, and reflect on what we could do differently to better ourselves.”   Check out the track here: [soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/247913345″ params=”auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&visual=true” width=”100%” height=”450″ iframe=”true” /]   Ohlayindigo is a San Francisco-based electronic pop duo from Oslo, Norway, composed of Ponth and drummer Zak Shrapnell. Ponth was selected to partake in a songwriting session with Sir Paul McCartney, based on her songwriting credentials and merit obtained while studying at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. During the session, she sang with him and he helped her work on the first single, “Love You To [Read More]
