Black Label Society debut new music video for Angel of Mercy

Black Label Society have debuted a new music for their bad ass song, Angel of Mercy. Directed by long time collaborator, Justin Reich of The Antimatter Studio, the video depicts a stripped down version of the wall of sound that is widely associated with the band. The band performed the single recently on Late Night with Seth Myers. which is the first time they performed on national television. Check out the stellar video here: The band will embark on a stretch of headlining tour dates across the U.S. starting on July 17th in Cincinnati before eventually wrapping up at the Sunshine Theater in Albuquerque on August 4th. Butcher Babies announce dates for their headlining tour, “No One Can Hear You Scream Tour”

We have exciting news for you! Butcher Babies have announced dates for their headlining tour which they are calling, No One Can Hear You Scream Tour. It is set for fall with dates starting September 27th in Scottsdale, AZ at Pub Rock and continues into late October. We just had the awesome time covering the Butcher Babies when they stopped into the Regency Ballroom for the Golden Gods Tour with Black Label Society. Black Label Society delivers a spine tingling set at Regency Ballroom for Golden Gods Tour

What a night! This past Friday, the place to be was at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco for the Revolver Golden Gods Tour. There was a line around the block as everyone came out in full force to catch Black Label Society perform. Also make sure to check out our coverage of the amazing two opening bands, Devil You Know and Butcher Babies. I think it was a sold out show or nearly sold out since earlier that day they had only a 100 or so tickets left. It was packed from front to back, left to right and the entire upstairs was filled with no empty seats. Black Label Society came out and were behind a full stage curtain, and then the lights went up and the curtain came down. Devil You Know is a crowd favorite at Regency Ballroom for Golden Gods Tour

Earlier we brought you our coverage of Butcher Babies and of course headliners, Black Label Society from their Friday night sets at the Regency Ballroom for the Golden Gods Tour. Now let me tell you about the Devil You Know. If you haven’t heard of them, you WILL definitely be hearing about them. This band is of supergroup caliber and is brimming with amazing talent. You might think it was a new band; but it has been nearly five years in the making and started with guitarist Francesco Artusato (All Shall Perish, Francesco Artusato Project) and drummer John Sankey (Devolved, Fear Factory Divine Heresy) wanting to branch out beyond their metal backgrounds. Together they wrote dozens of songs and when they brought the material to former vocalist for Killswitch Engage, Howard Jones, they had found their perfect vocalist. Butcher Babies at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco for Golden Gods Tour

This weekend was once again filled with incredible shows to cover and incredible sets by many awesome bands, check out our coverage of Devil You Know here and Black Label Society here. Friday night we were at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco for the Revolver Golden Gods Tour. The night started off with a fierce set by one of my favorite bands, Butcher Babies. We had a blast covering them last year at the Monster Energy Aftershock Festival and were glad to see them back. This band is never short on energy as they were determined to start the night off with a bang. The crowd was packed and I believe it was a sold out, or nearly sold out show. The best part was that everyone got there early enough to catch the full set of Butcher Babies. Trivium parts ways with drummer Nick Augusto

We just received word that Trivium have announced they are parting ways with their drummer, Nick Augusto. They made the following post via their Facebook page: To Trivium Fans, Friends and Family: I had asked everyone to make this statement regarding Nick, personally and on behalf of the band because of the history we both have had together as friends and bandmates. There is no easy way to go about parting ways with someone; whether it’s in a band or not, but if it is coming directly from one of us, I hope that it will be perceived out of our respectfor him. This past Sunday, Matt, Corey, and I decided that it was best to part ways with Nick and to move forward as soon as possible. You’re Insane if you missed Escape the Fate at their Sacramento show

We were able to catch Escape The Fate twice in one week last month. First we caught them performing to a sold out crowd at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco for the Bury the Hatchet Tour with Falling in Reverse, Chelsea Grin and Survive This! We then caught them at a packed house at the Ace of Spades in Sacramento for a show with Eve to Adam, New Years Day and Track Fighter. It was great to see Escape the Fate headlining the show at the Ace of Spades. It was packed with a crowd of all ages as everyone song along and the energy was magnetic. Of course the highlight for us was to see the return of Max “The Ripper” Green as he pounded out slamming bass lines and moved around the stage like a fierce animal.
