Calpurnia, overflowing with charisma delivers energetic set at legendary Fillmore in San Francisco

August 26, 2018

The Canadian indie rock band Calpurnia delivered a truly entertaining set last night at the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco. The 4-piece band was founded in 2017 and is led by Finn Wolfhard, known for his role in the highly acclaimed series Stranger Things. Finn met drummer Malcolm Craig on the set of a music video and the chemistry was immediate, adding Ayla Tesler-Mabe and Jack Anderson to the mix.  Together their passion for music was evident and highlighted through their music. They released their debut single “City Boy” on 7 March 2018. Last night at the SOLD OUT show the crowd was ready for a night of great music.  When we arrived, hours prior to the doors opening, the line of dedicated fans wrapped around over two city blocks. The elation raced through the crowds as the young fans could hardly contain their excitement. The night kicked off with a killer set by Spendtime Palace, a 5 piece rock band from Costa Mesa who won the crowd over instantly. Check out some photos of their set by [Read More]

SPOTLIGHT BAND: Time to get hooked on Australian rockers, The Lazys

July 11, 2018

I truly get frustrated when music lovers comment about Rock n Roll being dead. There are so many amazingly talented bands out there that are definitely carrying the rock n roll torch high and mighty. One of those bands are the Australian rockers The Lazys. This is no new band as they have been pounding the pavement and paying their dues since 2006, “where Leon Harrison and Matty Morris met while playing in local garage bands.”  Fast forward to 2018 and they are making an impact with their balls to the wall album, Tropical Hazards. It delivers high octane riff heavy rock tracks that will grab your attention in an instant. The Lazys are: Leon Harrison – Vocals Matty Morris – Lead Guitar Glenn Williams – Bass Liam Shearer – Rhythm Guitar Andy Nielsen – Drums Genre: straight up, non-stop Rock n Roll Music: Tropical Hazards released on February 16, 2018. VIDEO ALERT: Roses Unread release new video for their powerful track, After All

June 8, 2018

Roses Unread have recently released a music video for their powerful track, After All. The song is off their Vultures EP and it is a great one! Vocalist Allison tells us more about the video, Yes, we have a brand new video entitled After All, which is our second single off of the Vultures EP. It was released earlier in the year. We actually had a show of ours filmed by Justin Talley, AKA-Seiji. It was filmed in our home town, Jackson, TN at a bar/venue called The Naked Turtle. We had a lot of friends, family (fans) come out and be in the video with us. We also filmed a part of it on my swing in my front yard where I write all my poetry and lyrics. It’s a very personal song and video.   The song is a great track and you can’t help but feel the energy and passion as Allison sings. We can only imagine hard it was to capture all of that in the recording. Allison explains about [Read More]

Night Ranger returns for hometown San Francisco show and delivers crowd pleasing set!

April 8, 2018

Fans braved the torrential rains of a Friday night in San Francisco to step back in time and witness an incredible performance by Night Ranger at the legendary Fillmore. The fans welcomed home Night Ranger with a packed venue and they were ready to rock. The stage was set and as the lights dimmed, the fans went wild as they took the stage. From that moment on, it was non-stop rockin for the crowd. Night Ranger played all the fan favorites, a couple Damn Yankees hits, as well as my favorite new  song, Somehow, Someway off their latest album, Don’t Let Up which was released March 2017. It was a well rounded set that had everyone singing along and enjoying being “in the moment” at a concert. Check out some photos of their set by our Rockin Ryan: Night Ranger continues out on their tour next Friday with a show at the Capitol Theater in Clearwater, Florida. You can check out a list of all their upcoming tour dates as well as pick up VIP [Read More]

The Darkness take over the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco with high energy set!

April 2, 2018

England’s legendary rockers, The Darkness came to San Francisco for a night on their Tour De Prance. It was only the third night of the North American leg of tour and the band was giving 150% for the show. The tour is in support of their highly praised fifth album, Pinewood Smile which was released in October 2017. The night kicked off with a bad ass set by Diarrhea Planet. They got the crowd fired up and they showed their appreciation with a tremendous mosh pit! Check out some photos by our Rockin Ryan: The venue was packed as The Darkness hit the stage. From the first step onto the Regency floor, the band unleashed a heaping dose of adrenaline that fueled the crowd into an energetic frenzy!  The band was as electrifying as their new album, produced by Grammy Award-winning Adrian Bushby (Foo Fighters, Muse). They used every inch of that stage, jumping and kicking, to deliver a balls-to-the-wall performance, complete with jaw dropping guitar shreds, powerful commanding vocals and fist-pumping anthems. It was definitely a [Read More]
