KXM release self titled debut album that will have you begging for more

March 10, 2014

Now and days many musicians have side projects or are in several bands at the same time. We all remember the time, when side projects could signify a band break up or member replacements but now, it is a welcome change. For many passionate musicians time spent off the road or not recording, can cause them to be a bit stir-crazy. Sometimes you just have to unleash your passion and create the music.  I love finding out about new bands whether they are new to the scene, supergroups or a one-off side project. One new supergroup that have successfully harnessed their passion and created a MUST HAVE album, is KXM. KXM  is comprised of dUg Pinnick (King’s X), George Lynch (Lynch Mob/Dokken) and Ray Luzier (Korn). These three guys who were first friends and then decided to make music together have created a band that will definitely want you begging for more. After taking a listen to their self titled debut album, I couldn’t help but get excited for a tour and even more music. Whether they [Read More]

DELTA ROSE and their new album will take you on a WILD RIDE!

March 7, 2014

One of, if not our Number 1 favorite band, Delta Rose has been busy working on their new music and guess what? It is going to blow your mind!  I had a chance to take a listen and I am telling you, get ready, strap your boots on and hold on tight because these boys are going to rock your world.   They have a new 6 song EP that they are finishing up and it is stellar, from start to finish. In a time when the lines of rock and roll have been blurred by genres, cores, subcores, crossovers, and so much more, Delta Rose answers my need for true rock and roll. Their rock and roll is infused with blues and groove that there is no way, you can listen to them and stand still. You just have to get up on your foot and move. This album shows how much this band has grown in 6+ years, each one perfecting their own art and have mastered their own style. You can feel [Read More]

Fire The Animal delivers a great set at the Troubadour for the Lara Gladstsone Gutter n Grind!

March 6, 2014

We had the opportunity to catch Los Angeles band, Fire The Animal as they performed at Lara Gladstone’s Gutter n Grind event at the Troubadour.  I love catching shows at the Troubadour because the musical history of the venue’s past seems to create an energy that you can’t ignore. Fire The Animal added to that energy with their charismatic set filled with an updated twist of classic rock. It was an awesome night as you can see by the footage and photos of Fire The Animal in the following tribute video made by Rockin Ryan. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bytZ5MX4JjE&feature=youtu.be]   The song in the video is “Do Me Like You Do” and it is one of my personal faves. The song is off of their EP, Quadrihead and you can pick it up here. While you are at it, make sure to pick up some of their cool band merchandise from their page here. Make sure to visit their social media sites so you can stay up to date on their latest news. Check out the slide show [Read More]

California Breed is the new powerhouse trio and it features the legendary vocals of Glenn Hughes, the spectacular drumming of Jason Bonham and introduces newcomer guitarist Andrew Watt. The band is set to release their self-titled debut album on May 20, 2014 on Frontier Records and was produced by Dave Cobb (Jamey Johnson, Rival Sons, Shooter Jennings and more) Get ready for this one!  “It’s proper rock,” Hughes told Classic Rock Magazine, “but at the same time it’s very now. Andrew is as influenced by Mick Ronson as he is Jimmy Page.” “This kid is amazing,” says Bonham. “The first time we met I thought he looked like the white Jimi Hendrix. And he plays in the studio likes he’s onstage!” Check out the track listing for the new album: The Way Sweet Tea Chemical Rain Midnight Oil All Falls Down The Grey Days They Come Spit You Out Strong Invisible Scars Breathe Solo* *Deluxe Edition includes “Solo” bonus track and a DVD including 2 video clips (“The Way” [Read More]
