Kyng returns to San Francisco for a high energy set at Regency Ballroom

October 18, 2016

Kyng returned to the Regency Ballroom this past Sunday night as they kicked off a night of high energy rock/metal in San Francisco. They are currently out on tour with Clutch and Zakk Sabbath and we were excited to catch them once again. This powerful trio delivers a powerful dose of energy when they hit the stage. You have Eddie Veliz on Vocals/Guitar, Pepe Clarke on Drums and Tony Castaneda on Bass/Backing Vocals. From start to finish, they are at 11 the entire time and they crank up the intensity with fierce riffs, thundering drums and melodic yet heavy vocals. Their energy is inescapable as they bring the truth and honesty back into rock, simple yet completely powerful. Check out some photos of their set by our Rockin Ryan: They have recently released their new album, Breathe In The Water, which I think is their best work to date.  So full of raw, honest, powerful hard and heavy rock and metal. It can’t be described as one genre, since they successfully bring out a variety of musical [Read More]

Clutch brings the Psychic Warfare Tour to the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco

October 18, 2016

Clutch has been out on their Psychic Warfare World Tour and we were happy to catch them in San Francisco at The Regency Ballroom. The venue was filled with anxious fans who erupted in cheer as Clutch hit the stage! From start to finish they had the fans fueled with intense adrenaline. For a Sunday night, it was going to be a hard high for those fans to come off of. You couldn’t help but feel alive as their set rocked in stellar fashion. Clutch has some of the most dedicated fans as they would sing along to all their favorites. The great thing to see is that over the years and their successful career, they continue to draw in the younger generation as well. The crowd was filled with some young kids, teens all the way to seasoned rockers, and everyone was having one hell of a time.  Check out some photos of their set by our Rockin Ryan: Clutch recently released its compilation album, La Curandera on black vinyl. La Curandera is a compilation of 8 tracks from Clutch’s [Read More]

Halestorm, Lita Ford and Dorothy ROCK the Ace of Spades in Sacramento!

October 17, 2016

Ace of Spades in Sacramento definitely delivered a night of incredible rock n roll this past Saturday night.  The night kicked off with the soul grabbing rock set of Dorothy. This was my first time catching Dorothy live and will surely not be last. I was completely mesmerized by the powerful magnetic vocals of Dorothy, along with the shredding fuzzy guitar by DJ Black, the thunderous bass of Gregg Cash, and hard hitting drums by Dylan Howard. Together, they brought out an energy that got the crowd moving and ready to rock the night away. Lita Ford hit the stage and she obviously has been kept in a time capsule, she had the energy, the fervor, the beauty, the vocals of  her 20 year old self. Time has stood still for her as she gave the crowd a set that had them cheering and screaming from start to finish. Her set included Runaway songs, her solo hits, and new songs, including a great song she co-wrote with the legend Lemmy Kilmister. It was awesome to [Read More]

I Prevail’s bus catches fire out on road, everyone safe but lost belongings. How you can help!

October 16, 2016

We recently found out about I Prevail‘s tour bus catching fire as they are out touring on the Journeys The Made to Destroy Tour. We are grateful announce that no one was injured but they did suffer a loss of their belongings.  Check out the recent Facebook post that gives their fans an update: UPDATE: A lot of people have been asking us what happened to the bus yesterday and how they can help. Well, unfortunately our bus engine caught fire while driving down the freeway outside of Fresno, California. Luckily, our driver was able to pull over and we we’re able to get out before the flames started to hit the bunks. However, a lot of our personal belongings didn’t fare so well. Basically, everything we had is gone. For anyone who wants to help, the best way you can support us is by picking up our new album ‘Lifelines’ via a bundle or digitally. It comes out this Friday. Thank you for all of your support throughout this. You make this journey better [Read More]

Spotlight Band, powerful rock trio LÅNGFINGER releases new video

October 15, 2016

Our Featured Spotlight Band is a powerful rock trio out of Gothenburg. They are LÅNGFINGER. They have just released a music video for their track Fox Confessor which is off their recently released album, Crossyears.’The ten-track offering was recorded by Johan Reivén and Olle Björck at Sweden’s Welfare Sounds Studio with additional recordings by LÅNGFINGER at Beduin HQ, mixed by Olle Björck, and mastered by Daniel Johansson.’ They comment about the video/song, “‘Fox Confessor’ is the first collaboration between LÅNGFINGER and cinematographer Anders Bryngel. We were exploring the idea of working together for some years and with the new album looming, it was more appropriate than ever. One day we devised a syndicate. We then determined that the effort should be focused on a narrative and as the storyline progressed we let it evolve naturally with the group’s dynamic. A spontaneous process driven by our collective efforts. As for the actual song, which like many of our songs, established itself as an instrumental; was inspired by our favorite Krautrock bands from the late sixties. That was before [Read More]

NiteRain keeps the rock n roll train rolling with their new single, Come Out

October 15, 2016

Our favorite Norwegian rockers, NiteRain are at it again! They are hell bent on keeping Rock N Roll alive and thriving. We need more bands with the dedication and determination that these rockers bring to the music scene. They not only give us KICK ASS high energy rock reminiscent of Sunset Strip in the 80’s, but they bring that same energy to the stage every time as they rock the crowds. They have just released their new single, Come Out and it is a fierce one. You can’t help but feel the smoldering remains of Rock come back to life as NiteRain ignites it and keeps the flame burning bright. Powerful 80’s inspired vocals, smoking guitars, raging solo, killer vocal chants, and heavy hitting drums to get you fired up with your fist in the air. Check out the new song here: The song is off their upcoming new album, Vendetta which is set for a release on November 5th. You can pick up the new song by heading over to iTunes here. We can’t [Read More]
