The Misfits and She Demons deliver epic sets out on the Static Age Revisted Tour!

Christmas came early for us here at Music Junkie Press as we experienced three days of Misfits and She Demons shows here in Northern California. We started off with coverage of their sold out show at the Phoenix Theater in Petaluma. We anticipated a great night of music but they truly exceed our expectations we were blown away with their sets. The next night they performed at the Rockbar in San Jose and we were not surprised to find many of the same faces of the night before. All exclaiming how they had to see them again and headed out to buy tickets to their next show and so on with the Sacramento show at Ace of Spades. We found dozens of fans who made it out to all three shows, with the intention of only catching one. Luckily the tour was leaving California or we would have all been heading out to another show! Hailing from New York and bringing an industrial dark edge to their rock, they have been capturing the attention of rockers, pop lovers, and metal heads across the country. They are currently out on tour with Combichrist and The Birthday Massacre and they recently made a stop in San Francisco at Slim’s.   They delivered a highly energetic set that got the crowd off their feet and ready for their explosive music. Collective Soul deliver 5 star stellar performance to the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco

Monday night at the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco was a magical evening, as Collective Soul made a stop on their See What You Started Tour to the sold out venue. The tour is in support of their recently released and highly praised new album, See What You Started By Continuing. The night started off with a great set by Magnets and Ghosts which is the alternative rock band featuring Dean Roland and Ryan Potesta. I have been waiting to see them live and they were incredible. The venue was packed to capacity as Collective Soul took the stage. I have seen Collective Soul live possibly 15 times and I must say this was the best performance I have every been privileged to watch. It was pure bliss as they sounded absolutely spot on, and delivered a vibrant new life to their songs. Community comes together to help Valley Fire Victims with a Benefit Concert

September 15, 2015

In the past week I have had to write about two fires, first the iconic Full Throttle Saloon burned down and then about the limo that was carrying band members of Jake E Lee’s Red Dragon Cartel.  Here I am once again writing about another fire and this one has hit very close to home. On Saturday, September 12th, we noticed the clouds to the East of us had grown dark and filled with smoke. Shortly after we learned of a fire on Cobb Mountain in Lake County and it was rapidly growing at an aggressive rate. It left people with little time to gather their belongings as they had to evacuate their homes. We spent the entire night looking for updates and watching the orange sky in our backyard, worrying about those in the path of the fire. Sunday, we learned of the devastation that the fire had ensued as it had grown to 10,000 acres, then 25,000 acres, then to an astonishing 50,000 acres and zero containment. Hey Violet delivers an energetic solid set for their first headlining US show at Troubadour

Hey Violet have been quite busy rocking the stages with 5 Seconds of Summer this summer for the Rock Out With Your Socks Out Tour.  The highly successful tour has taken them across Europe and is currently in the US leg of the tour.  We were excited when we learned of their plans to have their first US headlining show at the Troubadour in West Hollywood. The fans were lined up early as the line circled around the block, many of them arriving several hours before doors. Fans came from all over and we even had the chance to chat with a young new singer, Bronnie of Revolution97 who traveled from London. The youthful energy and excitement was running rampant through the crowd as they filled the Troubadour to capacity. The opening act was the very talented James TW, a soulful pop singer from London. He captured the crowd’s attention and we really enjoyed his set. He carries great emotion when he performs and along with his catchy lyrics and soulful voice, he was a definite crowd pleaser. Kings of Chaos perform at SOLD OUT Benefit concert for the Dolphin Project

Earlier this week, the supergroup Kings of Chaos performed to a SOLD OUT crowd at the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco. The concert was presented by Dolphin Propaganda as a benefit concert for Ric O’Barry’s Dolphin Project. What an amazing lineup that featured legendary musicians to include Slash, Sammy Hagar, Glenn Hughes, Billy Duffy, Myles Kennedy, Matt Sorum, Doug Aldrich, Duff McKagan, and Gilby Clarke. In addition, a silent auction was held before the star studded set that included one of a kind memorabilia such as signed guitars, drum heads, Flipper script, Tony Hawk skateboard and much more. The crowd was generous in their bidding as they raised money for such an incredible cause. The Fillmore was packed to capacity as everyone was ready for the stellar set by Kings Of Chaos.
