Interview with Delta Rose – Featured Band of Warped Tour

Last week when we were down in Los Angeles for the Golden Gods Awards we went to the Revolver Golden Gods Aftermath Party at The Viper Room. What was even better about this night was that, Delta Rose was going to be opening up for Heaven’s Basement. Delta Rose is one of our featured bands from the Warped Tour 2013 and we had a chance to interview them right out on the Sunset Strip. Truly a place where these guys belong. They bring out true old school rock and roll just like many of the bands that I have been featuring. Hard Rockers “Heaven Below” continue their rise

All my friends here in California already know about this great hard working rock band, Heaven Below but now it is time for EVERYONE to know about them. My son Ryan had met their lead singer and guitarist, Patrick Kennison at NAMM 2012 and we had their music blasting on our 7 hour drive home. They have such an intense energy throughout their songs as they deliver “in your face rock” which we all need more of now and days. Heaven Below rose from Los Angeles and has not stopped since. We had the chance to see them earlier this year at House of Blues Anaheim during NAMM 2013 and the place was packed. I have been enjoying the new song “Just a Woman” by one of my favorite bands, Love and a .38. I know I have told you about them several times before (featured as one of our 12 Days of Rock Christmas) and I hope by now, you all have added their music to your playlists especially “Rock ‘n Lola” and “Lovely Lies”. Rocklahoma 2013 Band Feature The next band I am featuring from the Rocklahoma 2013 lineup is a band that my son Rockin Ryan told me about, sort of. He was actually keeping this band a secret for a while teasing me with the incredible rock sound that they bring. I would hear bits of songs that he would be playing in the garage and would have to ask over and over who they were. They just reminded me of my fun times on the Sunset Strip in the 80’s and I wanted to know if they were a new or an old band that I had missed. Love and a .38 delivers new music with “Just a Woman”

Well they did it again! One of my favorite bands, Love and a .38 released their new song via a free download and it blows my mind again. They really seem to deliver just what I am missing these days. Their new song “Just a Woman” has such a bluesy classic rock sound to it and I just fell in love with it instantly. It has a great chorus that makes me want to cruise out on the open highway with no worries and my Love and a .38 turned up loud! They are playing this Thursday, 21st at the Roxy in Hollywood.
