Trash The Brand gives us “Swamp Rock” that you have to hear!

I love my Rock-a-billy and I love my southern rock and soulful blues. Well trio rockers, Trash The Brand from Jackson, Tennessee have created a new sound that will have you begging for more. They have been described as “Swamp Rock” and their music brings southern rock with sweet blues and is an instant hit. The first time I heard their song, Devil’s Ride the vocals reminded me of Zakk Wylde and then you are treated to the bluesy rock that is sexy and invigorating. There may be only three in this band, but they have a big sound that is creating high energy rock in a soulful package. The Killing Lights, a new chapter for Michael Vampire

We have always loved Michael Vampire and his work with Vampires Everywhere. Today Michael has announced a new chapter in his musical journal and we are very excited to follow and support him all the way. Earlier today Michael posted the following on Facebook: FROM MICHAEL V: I would like to personally welcome you to the new chapter in my life “The Killing Lights”. As most of you know I was involved in a near fatal car accident many years back. I feel the name The Killing Lights properly represents my struggle with this tragic event & the new chapter in my music career. We will be entering the studio in 2014 to record our debut record on Century MediaRecords. CMR has been amazing with this transition & their positive energy towards the change has been awesome. Legendary Lou Reed dead at 71

Lou Reed March 2, 1942 – October 27, 2013 Legendary Lou Reed has passed away at age 71. There has been no report as to the cause of death but Lou did undergo a liver transplant in May of this year. Lou Reed has one of those distinct voices that could be identified just a few notes. Not only having great success as the lead singer of Velvet Underground but achieved many successes with his solo career. Lou did have and extensive history with drinking and drug use and earlier this year he had canceled five California concert dates in April. In May he underwent a liver transplant. Reed never acknowledged the transplant but did post the following on his website in June , “I am a triumph of modern medicine,””I look forward to being on stage performing, and writing more songs to connect with your hearts and spirits and the universe well into the future.” Today on his Facebook page was the following photo with the caption. Can you imagine Dave Grohl, Jack Black and Val Kilmer perform a 70’s style Southern Rock song? Well you don’t have it imagine much longer. On the Yahoo Screen Web series, Ghost Girls they do just that. On the series, two ghost hunter girls are set out to investigate the paranormal at a recording studio that has been haunted by a 1970’s Southern Rock Band, Sweetriver and The Huckleberry Dogs. The episode deals with the fact that three musicians must work together to finish their last song in order for them to cross over to the musical heaven in the sky! Motorhead release “Aftershock” Today!

Today is the day for the new release, “Aftershock” by Motörhead. Talk about a band that can keep putting out incredible in your face original “heavy rocky n roll”. Here is a band that is coming up on a 40 year history and is still rockin like the first years. Lemmy Kilmister started this band back in 1975 and over they years they have had lineup changes with guitar and drums but Lemmy has KICKED ASS throughout. So make sure to head over to your local music store or Itunes and pick up your copy! Some of my absolute favorites are Heartbreaker, Lost Woman Blues, Dust and Glass, Silence When You Speak To Me, and Paralyzed. It is hard because there are a lot to choose from. Lost Woman Blues really brings out a fantastic blues vibe and highlights Lemmy’s vocals.
