Interview with Eyes Set To Kill as they Infect San Francisco with their amazing performance!

Earlier this week, we had the opportunity to catch Eyes Set To Kill in San Francisco at the DNA Lounge. They have been busy on tour for the “Revolver Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock Tour” and were performing at the intimate upstairs stage at the DNA Lounge. For the tour, they have been playing larger venues and it was great to catch them in this smaller setting as they played with Cilver and San Francisco band The Light Iris. You couldn’t imagine what type of day I have had. It was one of those that I am pent up with frustration and anger about a situation that I cannot change. Of course, I always turn to music to get me through those times, whether it be listening to heavy loud metal, angst filled punk to fun pop and soul nurturing tunes. Tonight, I was glad I turned to Elder Brother and their new debut album. (Thank you Austin for sending it over, perfect timing!) It was the perfect music that nurtured my soul with thought provoking lyrics, catchy melodies and touching vocals. Remembering Ty Longley as his son Acey honors his father with his cause B.E.A.T.S.

11 years ago was the tragic fire at the Great White concert at the Station Nightclub in West Warwick, Rhode Island. During that tragic fire 100 lives were lost. I remember that night very well. From when I first heard the news of the fire on the television, I was glued to the reports in hopes that everyone would be found. Through the night and into the morning, we heard more and more about the loss of lives. I remember being on AOL back at the time in the chat rooms where we were trying to get news about the people we knew who were there and hearing about the band members and how they escaped the fire. I was waiting for the news of Ty Longley and unfortunately it was days later when it was confirmed that guitarist Ty Longley lost is life along with 100 others during the Station nightclub fire.
