MADLIFE brings high magnitude intensity to the stage!

A few months ago I had the pleasure of introducing MADLIFE to many of you. We had so many of you write in and tell us about your love for them. Well, it is no surprise since this  industrial hard rock band from Los Angeles gains fans seconds after you first hear them.  I can only imagine what seeing them live will do. We have been excited about catching one of their shows since we have heard amazing things about their stage presence and high octane filled shows and couldn’t wait to witness it firsthand.

Well Friday night, we jumped at the opportunity to head down to Hollywood and catch their show at the Troubadour.  It was the first time I had been back to the Troubadour since maybe 1986? 1987? I know it was right before Warrant getting banned from there and I don’t even remember who was playing. Oddly enough, the place like many from the Sunset Strip actually looks the exact same.

MADLIFE definitely delivered the most intense and engaging live performance that I have seen in a LONG time. From the second they step on stage, your adrenaline starts to flow through your veins as you enter the MADLIFE experience.   Angry Phil on vocals is simply captivating and his high energy and intensity becomes infectious. You then have Carlos Pagan who is a madman on the bass – to the left and  Isaiah Stuart who shreds on the guitar to the right.  It is like they both become the borders of the madness and reign in the ferocity of Angry Phil, yet pushing back with all their own intensity. You are literally watching everything and then you look back and see Kyle Cunningham killing it on the drums and you are just literally mind blown with the magnitude of energy that comes from these four guys. They are each incredible and when you put the four together, it is like the scene from Scanners where the head explodes. The great thing is they maintain this level from the first song to the last. You are in awe and you are already thinking about the next time you HAVE to see them. I know we are!

We had the opportunity to interview Angry Phil and Kyle shortly before the show and here is that interview:

So if you are not familiar with MADLIFE, check them out and I am sure they will soon become your favorite new band. Their music is definitely going to be heard by the masses this year as they set out on a tour in support of their album, “21st Century Megalomaniac”.  This industrial hard rock band has such a great sound that combines what you miss from your old style rock and roll and fuses it with their industrial hard sound to deliver energy driven music for today’s world.  You will get hooked on them as I did years ago.

Here is their new video for their single, “Just One Gun”  and crank up those speakers, you are gonna love this…..:

Now that you got to know more about MADLIFE, make sure to check them out on Facebook, Twitter, etc. Also visit their new website of www.madlifeofficial.com  and stay connected to find out more about their upcoming tour. They are one show you are going to regret if you miss, so make sure to keep updated on the tour dates.

~ Enjoy, Marisol

  1. LOVE THESE GUYS! I live in San Diego and drove up to see them at the Viper Room. They are a great live band. Energy is unbelieevable. thanks for this.

  2. i took my gf to see them, never heard of them and became an instant fan. Drummer kicks ass and reminds me of the guy from Heaven Below. I swear he is the twin of the guitarist of HB. Guitarist has equal intensity and the bassist has some bad ass dreads and plays bad ass to
