Concordia gets you energized with their new music!

October 16, 2012

Con·cor·di·a  [kon-kawr-dee-uh]    noun:  1. the ancient Roman goddess of harmony or peace.  2. a KICK ASS Rock Band from Cleveland, Ohio that you have to know about!   I told you a bit about Concordia when I went to see them open up for 12 Stones at the Phoenix in Petaluma earlier this year. You can read more about that show here.  Well since then, I have been immensely enjoying my CD that I picked up at that show, aptly titled “Clarity of Perception”.  Their sound blends many of my favorite music styles together to create an intense fusion of music that gives you catchy melodies, energy driven riffs, fantastic vocals that keep you engaged and energized.  You can head over to Concordia’s website to get your own copy of “Clarity of Perception” or download from Itunes. Concordia is Eric Emery on Vocals, Cory Juba on Guitar, Nick Smith on Bass and Kyle Tresch on drums.  We recently were able to catch up with Eric Emery who formed Concordia back in 2011. Music Junkie Press:  First, Eric, tell us about how you [Read More]

September 30, 2012

The great thing about Music is that there are so many different genres out there to enjoy at any time. I love not being pegged into a music genre hole and just listening to one thing. I listen to all types of music and enjoy each one of them. So today I want to introduce you to enjoy a  Funky Rock and Blues fusion cocktail that is AmAEvolutioN.  They have such an incredible sound that just blends so many types of music and just comes together beautifully.  You will hear some Rock, R & B, Soul, Funk and Blues all meshed together that just has me captivated! Being a native from the Bay Area, I applaud Berkeley native Nadiya Lewis on her commanding presence on her vocals. She just sings right to your soul and you can just feel her emotions!  Then you can really enjoy the guitarist Sergio de Paula Lima as he lays down some great guitar work complimenting the cool bass lines of Musashi “Moose” Lethridge  and topping it off with the smooth [Read More]

Sometimes with music today, I long to hear down and dirty ROCK n ROLL!! You know what I am talking about, right? The kind of Rock that has you with your fists in the air, drink in the other hand and just raising some hell with your friends. Those were the good days but wait, they don’t have to be in the past.
