(Los Angeles) Sundays at NAMM start late  – or early, depending on your point of  view.  As the clock struck midnight, Sunday concerts began on the hotel stages with  Gene Navarro, Goodnight Sunrise and Russ Parish.  After a break for sleep, things cranked up again at 8 am for the Best in Show Awards Breakfast, where products that caught the prize panel’s eye were honored in the categories Best Add-Ons, Gotta Stock it, Companies to Watch and Best in Show company. The vendor booths fired up at 9 am with demonstrations  led sonically by the Incredible Drum Corps Snare try-out, plus demos of new guitars, DJ controllers, mixers and microphones.  Outside, Earth Harp installation artist William Close was playing from a platform in front of ACCNorth with his instrument’s strings stretched up to the roof of the main Convention building. Check out the latest Guitar News from PRS Private Stock: (STEVENSVILLE, MD) December 5, 2018 – PRS Private Stock is proud to announce the McCarty 594 “Graveyard II” Limited Edition model. Earlier this year, PRS announced an eighty-piece limited run of Private Stock “Graveyard” guitars based on the vintage-inspired McCarty 594 model. The Graveyard II also takes the McCarty 594 model as its platform, but adds a unique aesthetic.   The Wood   In early 2018, PRS purchased more than 150 curly maple tops from the outskirts of a Graveyard on top of a moun­tain on the East Coast of the USA. The Gravestones were dated around 1884, and the trees were clearly at least that old as they were forty feet to the first limb. Interview with Justin Emord of Love and a .38 at NAMM

We have so many exciting things to share with you all from our NAMM trip! Of course, it wouldn’t be NAMM without an interview with one of the hardest working musicians, Justin Emord of Love and a .38. Justin started his NAMM week off early with  NAMM’s Foundation Day of Service helping kids learn music. His band also performed at the new NAMM Arena Plaza Stage on Friday and they truly rocked the stage! Justin also gave a very informative seminar on acquiring sponsorships and he even acquired several new sponsorships himself.
