Waxflower release brand-new single “Misaligned Love” ft. Sydney Sprague

April 21, 2022

There’s no doubt that adored pop-punk rockers Waxflower have been making a huge impact in the lead up to their sophomore EP ‘The Sound Of What Went Wrong’ – out Friday 29th April via Rude Records – with the band today releasing the final taste of what is to come with yearning new single ‘Misaligned Love’. Featuring the enthralling vocals of American indie pop/rock songstress Sydney Sprague, ‘Misaligned Love’ is about a love connection that can never quite come to fruition, although the stars have certainly aligned for the collaboration between Waxflower and miss Sprague, and we’re so grateful for it! “Having the wonderful Sydney Sprague feature on this track was an incredible honour & she really helped to elevate ‘Misaligned Love’ to a place that we couldn’t, without her”, explains drummer Daniel Seymour. “We’ve been huge fans of hers for a couple of years now, so when the opportunity arose with ‘Misaligned Love’, we reached out to her to feature and thankfully she agreed! She’s just finished touring with Jimmy Eat World & Dashboard [Read More]

Vatican announce new album “Ultra” and shares video for new single

April 21, 2022

Savannah, Georgia five-piece Vatican have announced their new album “Ultra”, out June 17th via UNFD. Today, the band has shared the video for “Reverence”. The fast-action video boasts a cinematic and apocalyptic vibe, as it features tight shots, hand-to-hand combat, and swordsmanship mixed with performance footage. “To me, this song has just about the whole package”, says singer Mike Sugars. “Just a little bit of everything I like to hear in metalcore. I remember recording the chorus, and our producer Randy Lebouf saying, ‘I don’t understand how you thought to sing over this, but it’s just so perfect’. The song is about people with irresponsible amounts of wealth and the damage they cause to the vast majority of regular people. We don’t need ’em”. After developing a name for themselves and garnering press praise from Revolver, Kerrang!, New Noise, and more with 2019’s full-length “Sole Impulse“, Vatican stormed out of the gates hard in 2021, when they signed to UNFD and released their knockout double-single effort “Become A New God“. Featuring singles “Absolute Reality” and [Read More]

Architects share brand-new track “When We Were Young”

April 20, 2022

Architects shared a brand-new song today. “When We Were Young” is the first single outside the band’s UK-#1 album “For Those That Wish To Exist”. Check it out! “”When We Were Young” is a song that realizes what we win and what we lose when we get older”, says drummer Dan Searle. “While the world around us unfolds, we can be overwhelmed by its endless complexity. When I was 20 I thought I had it all figured out. Today I’m quite certain, that I will never understand reality. We lose our innocence when we get older and although fatalism and cynicism can creep in, we also begin to shift our focus to gratitude for our existence and for those we love.” Stream/download the new track HERE. The band just recently rescheduled the tour dates for Germany from 2022 to 2023. Tickets remain valid. UK tour dates for May 2022 and US tour dates for September 2022 are still happening. Prince Daddy & The Hyena share new song “Shoelaces”

April 5, 2022

There’s an unrelenting purpose behind every note of a Prince Daddy & The Hyena song, but there’s something different about the songs on their upcoming self-titled album, out next Friday, April 15th. Today the Albany, NY band shares “Shoelaces”, rounding out a trio of singles the band has been sharing since earlier in March, including “A Random Exercise In Impermanence (The Collector)” and “El Dorado“. “Shoelaces” bring listeners back to Kory Gregory’s rough-and-scruff vocal stylings that helped the band gain notoriety in the first place. Combined with the undeniable fullness of that hook (“good dreams scare me way more lately”), it still feels more controlled and intentional than anything the band has done before. It’s like the pieces to Prince Daddy’s puzzle are finally fitting into place… for now, at least. “Prince Daddy & The Hyena” comes out on April 15th and is currently available to pre-order from Pure Noise Records.   Tracklist: 1. Adore The Sun 2. A Random Exercise In Impermanence (The Collector) 3. Jesus Fucking Christ 4. Something Special 5. El Dorado [Read More]

Clutch release new single “Red Alert”

April 5, 2022

American groove rockers Clutch have released their new single and video titled “Red Alert (Boss Metal Zone)”. The track is available from all DSPs. Frontman and lyricist Neil Fallon explains: “In early 2021 I learned that the Boss Metal Zone pedal schematic was presented as ‘proof’ that the Covid-19 vaccine had an electronic component to communicate with 5G cellular networks. That was nonsense, of course. It sounded like a Philip K. Dick-story. I didn’t want to write a song specifically about Covid-19 vaccines, so I used Philip K. Dick (again). “Do Android’s Dream of Electric Sheep?” came to mind (particularly replicants showing what’s real and what’s not real, or is there even a difference?) The video makes no bones about the fact that it’s a homage to Philip K. Dick and a future, in which disturbance runs through our veins.” Drummer Jean-Paul Gaster adds, “‘Red Alert (Boss Metal Zone)’ is one of the up-tempo tracks on our forthcoming album. The intensity of the recording reminds me of our live shows. This song is amazing and [Read More]
