The Charm The Fury album is a must for modern day metal fans!

Last month we introduced you to the band from the Netherlands, The Charm The Fury as our Tuesdays Travels Pick of the Week. Well, we have been enjoying their debut album which was released in September, “A Shade of My Former Self”. This full length album is truly remarkable and for a debut album, packs a lot of punch! This metalcore band has been dubbed as Holland’s “best kept secret” and they are taking the world by storm with their edgy yet aggressive style. I would almost consider this album to be a concept album since it is definitely a complete work of art that tells a story and walks or should I say headbangs you into a journey. Smile Empty Soul and their new release 3’s

Today was the big day that I have been waiting for. The release date for Smile Empty Soul’s 3’s! I got to see Smile Empty Soul earlier this month at the Boardwalk in a small town outside of Sacramento for their Jagermesiter tour. That night was a long one with a six band lineup and we of course counted the minutes and waited for Smile Empty Soul to take the stage. They came out and right off had their die hard fans singing to “Don’t Ever Leave”. Then they played the single of their new album aptly titled 3’s, “Afterlife”. “Afterlife” has been receiving great airplay on XM Sirius Octane Channel and I am hoping with our help it will make it to the Big Uns Countdown soon. Shinedown – “Amaryllis” is a true work of art by a great band!

Shinedown’s new album Amaryllis was up for a free stream tonight on Itunes. I have already pre-ordered it and am planning on seeing them twice at the end of the month but I couldn’t wait to hear the new album so I took a listen. I am glad I did. I am just reeling with joy on this one! So I got onto Itunes and right off the start is a great hard hitting song “Adrenaline” which will have you ready to rock and gives you an immediate shot of sweet adrenaline. You know that Shinedown has been working hard to bring you another Kick Ass Rock Album with this one and you really get ready to rock when you hear this song and the incredible guitar work. Adler’s Appetite has satisfied my appetite for ROCK!!!

So yes you all know I am hungry!! I have been hungry for some awesome replay of the 80’s ROCK!! Not just imitation rock or glam pate, I have been searching for my 80’s fix for quite a while now. Well I GOT IT and I GOT IT GOOD!! My son Ryan begged me months ago to buy tickets to see Adler’s Appetite as they were playing in San Francisco on July 1, 2011. It wasn’t hard to convince me since I have always loved Guns n Roses and have watched Steven Adler on Celebrity Rehab and read his book.
