VIDEO: LA songwriter Annie O’Malley release new single

Los Angeles based songwriter Annie O’Malley has just released her latest single, Celebrations & Obsessive Thaughts. The track is available today on streaming platforms. The song will be included on her sophomore album which is due out early 2024. The song was was written by Annie O’Malley and produced by Nydge (Mas Tsai, Mothica, Friday Pilots Club). Mixing comes courtesy of mix wizard JJ Catalyst (TYGR TYGR, Dylvn, Hannah Mrozak etc). Hannah Wicklund lights up the Cafe DuNord with her stellar solo set

Last night opening up for Devon Gilfillian on his headlining tour, Hannah Wicklund performed a solo set in San Francisco. Capturing the illustrious singer/songwriter/guitarist Hannah in the intimate setting of the Cafe DuNord was the crowning achievement for a midweek show in the city. She delivered a flawless set that highlighted her passion and dedication in creating musical compositions with lyrics that bring vulnerability as well as empowerment to life. Bravo to this young lady who is a true powerhouse in the music scene today. The set started off with the blistering track On Fire, where you can really hear her guitarwork shine on a Gibson semi-hollow. The tone was impeccable. ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Kyle Rising shines with performance at The Independent SF

One of our favorite sets of the year was not at a large festival, stadium venue, world tour events. It was at the intimate venue The Independent in San Francisco last week. We were heading out to cover BabyJake on the SF tour stop and were happy to see that Kyle Rising was an opener. We watched several of his Doors covers via Instagram and couldn’t help but be in awe of his uncanny resemblance to Jim Morrison and the amazing vocals to match. One thing is certain, although you might have been introduced to Kyle through his Doors covers, it is his own style and songs that will keep you a longtime fan. Some people are annoyed with the suggested posts as they are mindlessly scrolling through Instagram, but today, that is not me. I saw a snippet of a song and immediately had to find out who it was and how to get the track. The song was called California Letdown and it was a new release from Teddy Cosmo. I had to find out more. It states the following on the profile: Teddy Cosmo musician, producer, podcaster, ♿cerebral palsy, wheelchair user, Berklee College of Music and from NYC. The song is amazing, the vocals remind me of a young Morrissey but with a modern production that captures the depth and tones of the emotions. Dean Lewis brings raw emotion and passion to the stage at The Fillmore SF

Australian singer/songwriter Dean Lewis made a stop in San Francisco for his Future is Bright Tour. The fans were lined up around the block awaiting for the doors to open. Excitement raced through the lines as everyone was sharing stories about Dean’s music and which song was their favorite or which one helped them through a particularly difficult time. You couldn’t help but sit and ponder how many lives this man’s music has helped and healed. His music is powerful and to witness it in action is truly heartwarming. The night started with opener Sara Kays who had a heavenly voice and shared stories about how the songs were written and the meanings behind them.
