Sick of It All release music video for Road Less Traveled and catch them out on tour

October 28, 2014

Sick of It All have released their music video for their song, Road Less Traveled which is off their latest album release, Last Ace of Defiance. The band had this to say about the release: “We are very excited to premiere the first video from our new album, LAST ACT OF DEFIANCE. In “Road Less Traveled,” we talk about our journey in music & life. There’s no better way to celebrate this journey than with a bunch of our friends and to shoot a fun video that documents yet another day for us 4 guys being blessed to be part of a great scene. Drew Stone came out of retirement, stepped it up and directed the video, which captured the true essence behind us as a band.  We hope you all enjoy it as much as we do! Hardcore is our life!!!” Check out the video here: The video was directed by documentary filmmaker Drew Stone (xxx All Ages xxx The Boston Hardcore Film, “Who The Fuck Is That Guy”? Alter Bridge returns to San Francisco for a packed house at The Warfield!

October 28, 2014

The drive down to San Francisco this past Saturday was filled with cranky drivers maneuvering the streets sprinkled with the first rain. We made sure to head down early since Game 4 of the World Series was being held at the AT&T park and we were not going to let anything get in our way of seeing Alter Bridge at The Warfield. We made it to the venue as the line was beginning to wrap around Market St. It was great to see the heavy turnout arriving pre-show to make sure they caught Like A Storm and California Breed, both delivering spectacular sets. Alter Bridge hit the stage and the crowd went wild. They treated everyone to a 17 song set inclusive of fan favorites as well as many new songs off their recent release, Fortress. The crowd was filled with fans of all ages and the energy in The Warfield intensified with each song. The vocals of Myles are spot on and proves why he is still my all time favorite vocalist. Like A Storm return to San Francisco with a spectacular crowd pleasing set!

October 27, 2014

From the first time I saw Like A Storm perform as the opening act for Alter Bridge in 2011 at the Regency Ballroom, I knew this was one band to watch out for. They just had the most amazing energy and a stage presence well beyond their young years. Fast forward to 2014 and they have really become one of the bands to truly take over 2014. They have been busy doing some non stop touring and still have more dates ahead. Well this past weekend it was a déjà vu moment as Like A Storm returned to San Francisco as support for Alter Bridge. This time they took the stage at the legendary Warfield Theater. It was a packed house and once again Like A Storm came out and delivered a non-stop energetic set that had everyone know who they were! They rocked the place and it is amazing to see how the crowd was purely engaged with them. Check out the photos by our Rockin Ryan of their set: What an incredible night and [Read More]

They are from Helsinki, Finland and have a sound that will take you right back to the Sunset Strip circa ‘1980s with the exception that the music is even more adrenaline filled and fuckin rocks hard!!! We spoke to Archie to talk about their recent announcement that they will be making their US debut at The Webster Hall in New York City on December 12th. We needed to find out more about this trip and hopefully beg for news of any California dates!!! Watch Matt Nathanson’s inspirational new video for Headphones featuring his trip to Peru

October 23, 2014

Matt Nathanson recently made a trip to Peru with the Starkey Hearing Foundation on a mission to fit people with free hearing aids. As Matt says, ” i’ve been trying to write a short piece about my experience for weeks now. it’s been really hard. words kinda fail it. if i didn’t have my hearing, i wouldn’t have music. and if i didn’t have music, i definitely wouldn’t have survived my childhood. listening to albums and seeing bands and being connected to songs was EVERYTHING to me. it still is. it makes me feel not alone. it helps me transcend my broken brain. in fact, the only reason i play music is because i love it so much. i couldn’t stay on the sidelines, i HAVE to be a part of it. Going to peru was super heavy. the people were incredible. to be in service to them, to assist in connecting them to their kids laughter, to their parents voices, to MUSIC!… it was completely humbling. and overwhelming. i felt love and gratitude towards [Read More]
