NiteRain release new single “The Threat” from upcoming album

February 21, 2014

Last year we introduced you to NiteRain as one of Tuesdays Travels.  Here is an excerpt from that post: “This week, I have incredible ’80s inspired rock band from Oslo, Norway as our Tuesdays Travels Pick.  They are NiteRain and they have an amazing sound. Their music reminds me of catching early Motley Crue out on the Sunset Strip in the ’80s.  Early Vince Neil style vocals, Kick ass guitar riffs, slamming bass and energetic drums. Together you have the intense rock n roll of NiteRain.” NiteRain is Adrien Persen on Guitar, Sebastian Tvedtnaes on Vocals, Morten Garberg on Drums and Frank Karlsen on Bass. They have been known to have explosive stage presence and deliver high velocity sleaze rock. These guys are definitely in the running to take over the glam sleaze rock scene! They have had great success in touring with L.A. Guns across Europe and we hope they come out here to the US soon. Their glam infused rock is just as contagious as their fierce energy and is something we need. You [Read More]

Remembering Ty Longley as his son Acey honors his father with his cause B.E.A.T.S.

February 20, 2014

11 years ago was the tragic fire at the Great White concert at the Station Nightclub in West Warwick, Rhode Island. During that tragic fire 100 lives were lost. I remember that night very well. From when I first heard the news of the fire on the television, I was glued to the reports in hopes that everyone would be found. Through the night and into the morning, we heard more and more about the loss of lives. I remember being on AOL back at the time in the chat rooms where we were trying to get news about the people we knew who were there and hearing about the band members and how they escaped the fire. I was waiting for the news of Ty Longley and unfortunately it was days later when it was confirmed that guitarist Ty Longley lost is life along with 100 others during the Station nightclub fire. Ty was expecting his first child at the time with his then girlfriend Heidi. Fast forward to today and Ty’s son Acey [Read More]

February 20, 2014

The Hollywood Kills new EP, “Coming of Age” should be marketed as the instant mood elevator! Who needs antidepressants when you have an EP filled with 5 songs that will get you out of any funk you could ever be in.  I love music that makes you feel so alive and takes you to even a new found level of euphoric bliss. The Hollywood Kills may be from Nashville, TN but they mean business with their rock n roll sound sprinkled with punk, pop and even Motown. You will be instantly hooked on this one. The EP was mixed and produced by the amazingly talented, Brian Virtue ( Deftones, Korn, Janes Addiction, Kiss, 30 Seconds to Mars, the list can go on and on). Members Brent Powelson, Preston Jackson, Johnny Angel and Dylan Rowe worked together to create a spectacular EP that will arouse all your sense. Coming of Age  starts right off with a cool guitar intro and great build up. This song is just as it describes, it is like having your senses all awakened and literally [Read More]

Get ready for the intensity that Holy Mountain brings with their new album

February 20, 2014

Hailing from Glasgow, Scotland is a straight up, in your face fuzzy rock band, Holy Mountain that you must take notice of.  Holy Mountain is Andy McGlone on guitars, Pete Flett on drums and Allan Stewart on Bass. These three deliver intensity at it’s peak, with crashing drums, heavy bass and transcending vocals. I wouldn’t want to classify them as any particular genre since they incorporate everything from punk, alternative, heavy rock, metal, bluesy, and so much more and developed their own unique style that is definitely worth a listen. They are currently set to release their full length debut album through Chemikal Underground, Ancient Astronauts which is a follow up to their 2012 mini-album, Earth Measures.  The album is set for an April 7th release and promises to deliver a thundering tour-de-force of monumental guitar, drums and bass and is – let us assure you – the rock album of the year. Check out their song, Gunner from their last album:   We will continue to keep you updated on the new album. For now, visit Holy [Read More]
