Take a listen to the dreamy new single, Shelter from Machineheart

One of our favorite bands from last year’s BottleRock Napa Festival was Machineheart. They have been quite busy touring and have just released a dreamy new track. Take a listen to their new song, Shelter:

Los Angeles alt pop group machineheart returns today with their next slice of dark, broody pop in “Shelter,” anchored on a bass-heavy, down-tempo arrangement. “Like an ancient story, full of death and glory, remember who we are,” vocalist Stevie Scott coos over glitchy electronics and suspended synths to remind her paramour that she is the temporary refuge from danger. Echoing the likes of FKA twigs, BANKS, and Verité, the track could adeptly soundtrack a Bonnie & Clyde-esque getaway, as the chorus rings out with the repeated hook “you can take it all, you can take it all, let my heart be your shelter.”
