Check out our interview with Mattie of For Today and catch them on Warped Tour!

This year’s Vans Warped Tour has a lot of great bands and an amazing array of music which will satisfy everyone’s needs. I was excited when I heard that For Today would be playing on the Kia Soul Stage. They will be on the entire tour and they put on an amazing set. They come out and give 150% energy on the stage and the crowd is instantly adrenalized. Whatever time they are set to play, the crowd gets invigorated by their metal/hardcore set and the energy is contagious. I was ecstatic to catch them twice in the week and each time they delivered a fierce spot on set.

We had the chance to chat with the inspring vocalist, Mattie Montgomerey before his set at the Wheatland California date. Mattie is truly one of the nicest guys and always has very inspirational advice. Whether you feel defeated, down, or facing a bump in the road, Mattie is always there to pick you p and let you know you can make it through anything. That is what I love about their music. You may not expect such great wisdom from a hardcore band but with For Today, you get bad ass heavy music with emotionally driven lyrics. Check out our interview with Mattie here:

I hope you get the opportunity to watch For Today on Warped Tour and make sure to check the schedule when you arrive, you don’t want to miss their set. We were excited to see them play songs off their latest album, Fight the Silence.   Here are some photos from one of their California sets:
