They are like the bright light at the end of a metalcore tunnel bringing creative and inspiring songs to the post hardcore scene. Their music features emotionally driven lyrics, catchy melodies, all the while maintaining a ferocious dose of metal and powerful vocals. They are soon to release their debut album, The Shadow Thieves and have recently premiered their new song, Dead Tom’s Dead which was  produced by legendary metal producer Joey Sturgis (Asking Alexandria, The Devil Wears Prada). The song is amazing and vocalist Corey Prokowiew had this to say about the track. “I wrote this song during a time of grief when I had to say farewell to somebody close to my heart. The concept behind “Dead Tom’s Dead” involves how unexpected loss in a family, or in any relatable situation, can lead to a lot of self-blame, self-realization, and sometimes even self-harm. September 1, 2015

We recently featured Arms For Elephants as one of our Bands of the Day and today they are streaming their new full length album, My Judas Scene. They are bringing out their answer to the post-hardcore scene by adding a great flair of alternative sounds.  You can pick up the physical copy of My Judas Scene on the group’s Bandpage or download it from iTunes.  They comment on the album, Our debut full length album My Judas Scene is an intensely personal album, and we’re extremely excited to finally be able to share it with the world. Checkout the new video from Raggy Monster for their captivating track, Crying Shame

August 27, 2015

Alternative indie rock band Raggy Monster from West Palm Beach have released a new video for their track, Crying Shame. The song is off their sophomore album, As the thorn lures the widow’s lip, it seeks no wisdom from the Wicker Flies, which was released in December 2014. The song brings out such emotion as you are captivated by  vocalist Rachel DuVall’s hypnotic vocals. “The song was inspired by singer/keyboardist Billy Schmidt’s uncle who had been nearly paralyzed from suffering multiple strokes and the emotional weight it held on Billy’s heart. Billy’s wife and bandmate,  Rachel DuVall put these emotions to lyrics, creating a tribute to the family.”  Billy Schmidt comments on the track, “This video and song are very personal to me, being inspired by my uncle John. As a kid we visited him a couple times a year and I remember seeing the expression on his face and not being able to tell if he was full of joy or sadness. I think it was a combination of the two. He loved children, and we [Read More]
