Local Santa Rosa band chosen in top 25 KBB Records Battle of the Bands!

KBB Records, the new label by Asking Alexandria’s Ben Bruce and Kyle Borman have announced their Battle of Bands finalists. Ben & Kyle received hundreds of submissions and handpicked 25 artists. You can now take a look at the list and vote to chose the 10 bands that will make it on the KBB Records Digital Summer Sampler! One Band will be win a record deal with KBB Records. What has us really excited here at Music Junkie Press is that one of the bands on the list is our very own local band, A Hero To Fall. They are a post hardcore/ progressive rock band which is comprised of some very hard working members. Bad Romantics deliver a fun energetic set to the Troubadour

Saturday night we were at the Troubadour in Hollywood to cover the CD release show of hard rockers Diamond Lane. The night was filled with amazing bands. You can read about all the bands of the night here;  The Book of Curtis, Love and a .38,Diamond Lane, Delta Rose and now it is turn for you to check out Bad Romantics. Bad Romantics treated the crowd to a fun energetic set filled with Alternative Rock/Power Pop songs. The have a sound that is almost a 50’s doo-wop era but then wrapped in the velvety luster of power pop and punk. You have infectious vibes, catchy hooks, and the intensely gritty yet alluring vocals that will mesmerize you. The UK bad ass band, The Family Ruin signs to KBB Records

Asking Alexandria’s Ben Bruce has been quite busy with touring as well as running KBB Records with Kyle Borman. Yesterday they had announced the pre-order for their first signed band, Scare Don’t Fear was up and ready to order! Today they are announcing the signing of the UK bad ass band, The Family Ruin to KBB Records. The Family Ruin have a very fresh new sound complete with hard and heavy riffs blended with infectious harmonies, where they blend their metal and alternative influences with melodic hard rock. There is something for everyone in their sound. Think about a mix of Avenged Sevenfold with Escape the Fate. Pop Punk band, Sundials set to kick off their tour on May 9th!

Pop Punk infused band Sundials from Richmond, VA finished recording their debut EP set to release out on Topshelf Records and now are gearing up for a tour. They will be kicking off their tour on May 9th with a stop at The Odditorium in Asheville, NC. Make sure to check the tour dates listed below so you can see when they are coming to a venue near you. Their new EP which is scheduled for a release date later this year, was recorded at Noisy Little Critter in West Chester, PA with producer Mark Bardzick.   Love Crushed Velvet from New York City have released their new video for their song, “Bye, Bye, Baby”. The track was originally released on Love Crushed Velvet’s compelling new EP Delusions in September, mixed by Mark Needham (Blondie, Fleetwood Mac, The Killers). Tonight is the beginning of the Spring Tour for KIVEN and My Body Sings Electric. The tour kicks off tonight at Hemingway’s in Los Angeles and will end on May 17th at The Shred Shed in Salt Lake City, Utah. My Body Sings Electric have  a sound that has been described as pop, indie, alternative, rock and much more. One thing is for sure, you can feel those influences throughout their music and what they deliver is awesome fun, energetic songs with emotionally driven lyrics.
