Update on our past last month with the news about Joey Jordison and Slipknot parting ways…. Today Joey Jordison took to Facebook to release the following statement: To my fans, friends, and associates… I would like to start the New Year by addressing the recent rumors and speculation regarding my departure from Slipknot. He not only has been busy with Saving Abel, but also filling in for Austin Winkler during his absence with Hinder.  Jared has just announced his departure from Saving Abel to pursue his solo career.  We just read he post here on Facebook: A MESSAGE FROM JARED WEEKS– A lil over 10 years ago Jason Null and myself (Jared Weeks) started the band Saving Abel, and little did I know how much our lives would change for the better. Eric T., Mikey M. & Jason N. these fellas have been a family to me on the road and part [Read More]

December 21, 2013

We know that it was hard for all of us when we first heard the news of Austin Winkler‘s departure from Hinder but we were excited to know that he was going to continue on with his music career.  You can read more on our previous post here. Austin has been sharing posts on Instagram and Twitter letting us know about his new musical venture and has been hard at work on it.  I am elated to hear that and guess what, last  night Austin joined Camp Freddy on stage at the Roxy in Hollywood. I can KICK MYSELF since Rockin Ryan and I had plans to go to a couple of the Camp Freddy shows this week but family emergencies prevailed and fires had to be put out. Austin joined the guys on stage and sang Born To Be Wild.  Our friend told that he looked so happy to be back on that stage, which is exactly where he belongs. You can check out this video of his performance last night here: [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9N4fRGruv8&feature=youtu.be] We [Read More]

What??? Lincoln Parish no longer in Cage the Elephant

December 10, 2013

So it appears that guitarist Lincoln Parish might no longer be in Cage The Elephant!  There has been no official statement released by Cage The Elephant but plenty of signs and tweets might give us the confirmation we need. Lincoln Parish has not been playing some huge gigs lately with Cage The Elephant, including their performance on Jimmy Kimmel live last night where they performed their recent single, “Come a Little Closer”. Lincoln has recently tweeted the following which may give us the insight we need in all this: What is exciting is that Lincoln will be doing a lot more with his songwriting and his production company, Talk Box Radio out of Nashville, TN.  He currently is doing some work with Penicillin Baby which has some great psychedelic pop/70’s vibe music that you just can’t not love.   So make sure to follow Lincoln on Twitter as well as  his production company Talk Box Radio so you can stay up to date on what he is working on. I will also leave you with Cage [Read More]
